[name_f]Raya[/name_f] looks made up. Also [name_f]Raya[/name_f] looks like [name_f]Maya[/name_f], which people pronounce as My-ah. So maybe people will see [name_f]Raya[/name_f] and say [name_m]Ry[/name_m]-ah.
I prefer [name_f]Raya[/name_f], which would be pronounced [name_u]Ray[/name_u]-uh.
[name_f]Raya[/name_f]. I would only think to pronounce [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] as ree-ah, especially given it’s the name of my cousin’s long-term girlfriend.
This is so good to hear your opinions. I guess [name_f]Raea[/name_f] could be an option too. What do you think of that?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], My name actually is [name_f]Rhea[/name_f]. Pronounced [name_u]Ray[/name_u]-uh. I totally understand your concern. I had a pediatrician who always called me [name_f]Ree[/name_f]-uh but it never really bothered me. The way I tell people to remember it is by saying it is like a [name_u]Ray[/name_u]-a-[name_f]Sunshine[/name_f], I usually get a laugh out of that. When I was younger I didn’t like it until I found out what it meant. There are 3 meanings. [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] being of Greek Mythology the wife of [name_m]Zeus[/name_m]. (Which I am most proud of, She was a [name_m]Titan[/name_m]) A moon around [name_m]Saturn[/name_m] and a bird related to the Ostrich. I never really did get a lot of diarrhea jokes… here and there sure but then I correct them on the pronounciation. I hope this helps. I also met someone whom I have become friends with and her name is spelled [name_f]Raya[/name_f].

I like the [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] spelling =] but both are acceptable and cute!
My name is [name_f]Rheanna[/name_f] which is pronounced [name_f]Ree[/name_f]-[name_f]Anna[/name_f]. The [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] spelling I would only ever think would be a [name_f]Ree[/name_f] sound. I like your [name_f]Raea[/name_f] suggestion for the [name_u]Ray[/name_u] pronunciation.

I would go with [name_f]Raya[/name_f]. I have met several people with the surname [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] and all of them have pronounced it “[name_u]Ray[/name_u]” so [name_f]IMO[/name_f] [name_f]Raya[/name_f] will have less pronunciation issues.
[name_f]Raya[/name_f]! [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] is a word part that means flow like diarrhea, rhinorhea (runny nose). [name_f]Raya[/name_f] has a better meaning (friend) and also I think would be more unique! Very pretty.

If you say it with a long “a” sound, rhyming with [name_f]Leah[/name_f], then I would say [name_f]Raya[/name_f].
If you say it with a long “I” sound, I would go with [name_f]Raya[/name_f].
If you pronounce with with a long “e” sound, then I would go with Reah.
I would pronounce [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] as [name_f]Ree[/name_f]-uh.
I think the spelling of [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] is much prettier, but I’d be tempted to mispronounce it, whereas [name_f]Raya[/name_f] seems more straightforward.
