I have always preferred [name]Liora[/name] / [name]Eliora[/name] to [name]Leora[/name].
I love it! I know a family who is expecting their first daughter in a couple weeks/months, and they’re naming her [name]Eliora[/name]. My sisters all scrunched up their noses at it, but I think it’s just fabulous and stunning. I think if you were going with the fuller [name]Eliora[/name], I would use the “I”, as for some reason that seems more traditional to the Hebrew original, but if it’s just [name]Leora[/name]/[name]Liora[/name], [name]Leora[/name] seems more classic to me. So that’s what got my vote.
Good luck!
I think I like the “i” spelling better - [name]Liora[/name]! My eyes play tricks on me and sometimes I see [name]Leona[/name] instead of [name]Leora[/name] on first view.
[name]Leora[/name] has been on my long list for some time now! So has the similar [name]Leona[/name]! I can never decide which I like better, but I definitely prefer [name]Leora[/name] to [name]Liora[/name]!
