[name_f]Luella[/name_f]'s straightforward, with not much room for spelling/pronunciation issues, whilst when I saw [name_f]Louella[/name_f] it took me a moment to figure out how I would say it. [name_f]Luella[/name_f] gets my vote

[name_f]Louella[/name_f] would be a great name to honor a family member whose nickname had been [name_u]Lou[/name_u]

[name_f]Luella[/name_f] is my preferred spelling.

I also like [name_f]Luella[/name_f]. It is simple but pretty!

I really like both! I think I slightly visually prefer [name_f]Luella[/name_f].

[name_f]Luella[/name_f] seems more modern and fresh than [name_f]Louella[/name_f] in my opinion. [name_f]Louella[/name_f] seems dated to me.

Thanks everyone! The one thing I’ve heard about “[name_f]Luella[/name_f]” is that it looks a little unfinished, though “[name_f]Louella[/name_f]” is a whole lotta vowels.

To my eyes, [name_f]Luella[/name_f] looks like a name whereas [name_f]Louella[/name_f] looks like a smoosh of two names ([name_u]Lou[/name_u] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]) so I vote for [name_f]Luella[/name_f]. I think it even looks more livelier and prettier spelled that way.

[name_f]Luella[/name_f], simply because it took me a moment to figure out how you would pronounce [name_f]Louella[/name_f]. I don’t like either though, to be honest.

I voted for [name_f]Louella[/name_f], since that’s how you would spell similar names like [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. [name_f]Luella[/name_f] seems more vulgar to me, for some reason.

I think “loo-ella” is sweet; [name_f]Luella[/name_f] is straightforward, while [name_f]Louella[/name_f] looks like too many vowels squished together between some Ls.

[name_f]Louella[/name_f] seems too old granny to me, I like [name_f]Luella[/name_f], it make me think of [name_f]Luna[/name_f]
