Depends on where you live. I would spell it the way it sounds, so [name_m]Nikolai[/name_m] would probably be your best option unless the area you live is familiar with the Nikolaj pronunciation and spelling. If that’s the case, either one is fine. It’s a very handsome name!

[name_m]Nikolai[/name_m] is the easier choice as far as I see it, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with making people work to get their head around a name if that’s the way you feel it should be correctly spelled.
