Which spelling?

I can’t decide if I should spell it [name]Fiona[/name] or [name]Fionna[/name]. Should I use one or two n’s?

I much prefer it with one “n”. I like to keep to original/traditional spellings are far as I can, I’d definitely go with [name]Fiona[/name].

[name]Fionna[/name] would be pronounced “Fi-UNN-ah” and is very similar to the boys name [name]Fionn[/name].

[name]One[/name] n is much better.

Definitely stick with [name]Fiona[/name].

[name]Fiona[/name]. I would think [name]Fionna[/name] would have a lot of spelling (instinctively most think [name]Fiona[/name], I think) and pronunciation (I’ve seen most -ana names spelled -onna to get the pronunciation they want, so I think people would think it’d be fee-[name]AH[/name]-nah not fee-OH-nah) problems.

[name]Fiona[/name]'s lovely!

Definitely [name]Fiona[/name].

I think two n’s will cause unnecessary spelling issues her whole life.

[name]Fiona[/name] for me, as well!

[name]Fiona[/name] all the way! You don’t need an extra “n.”

Agree with all here!!!

The original spelling is by far the best. The 2 N’s change how most people would say the name I think.

[name]Fiona[/name] for sure!

I think everyone in unanimous (as I agree too - mostly when in doubt KISS.)

LOL when I read your two options, I read [name]Fiona[/name] & Finona (which is a nn we gave to my friend [name]Fiona[/name] when we were young -how that started, I have absolutely NO idea!)

So, I agree with everyone else… one N!

Definitely [name]Fiona[/name]. [name]Little[/name] [name]Fionna[/name] would have spelling and pronunciation headaches her whole life.

Phiona!

just kidding.

I agree with everyone else.

Here’s another vote for [name]Fiona[/name]!!!
