I’m due with a baby girl in eight weeks! I have twin boys, [name]Jett[/name] & [name]Zane[/name], and I’m having trouble figuring out this little diva’s name. Right now, we love [name]Gabriella[/name]. My husband is officially sold on it, but I’m not. I’m still having a love affair with [name]Madeleine[/name], [name]Adriana[/name], [name]Giovanna[/name], and [name]Giuliana[/name].
Anyway. Which spelling do you prefer - [name]Gabriella[/name] or [name]Gabriela[/name]? I prefer [name]Gabriela[/name], but again, my husband has to be difficult and loves [name]Gabriella[/name].
I think [name]Gabriela[/name] is prettier but [name]Gabriella[/name] more common and what a lot of people will default to.
I would fight for other, more obscure angel names [name]Raphaela[/name]/[name]Rafaela[/name], Katriela, [name]Raziela[/name] having just one l each - but I think [name]Gabriela[/name] would spend a lot of time mispelled and for me personally that would grate my nerves more than double l, especially since I prefer [name]Ella[/name] to [name]Gabby[/name].
I prefer one L in [name]Gabriela[/name]. Two Ls looks a bit princessy to me.
My absolute favorite of your choices is [name]Giovanna[/name]! It’s romantic and feminine yet strong enough to stand up to [name]Jett[/name] and [name]Zane[/name]. Also, I think of it as being a name that native Italians (more than Italian-Americans) would use. I’m assuming you’re in [name]America[/name], and not in [name]Italy[/name]. Of course, my sense of what is authentically Italian is limited, being American myself!
I prefer [name]Gabriella[/name] for the sound but not the look. It would be more convenient to take the name [name]Gabriella[/name] than [name]Gabriela[/name] because of spelling issues.

[name]Gabriela[/name]: [name]Gay[/name]-bri-ell-a

I prefer the [name]Gabriela[/name] spelling. I speak Spanish so, ella=eya — I tend to prefer “ela” vs. “ella” endings for that reason. I actually [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Giovanna[/name] from your other options. So pretty.
