Which spelling?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I was going to create a poll but for some reason when I press my little gear icon, the option to build poll doesn’t appear. So, I will have to pose as a question: [name_u]Blair[/name_u] or [name_u]Blaire[/name_u]?

I personally can’t decide, I like the clean-cutness of [name_u]Blair[/name_u], and the more airy, visually appealing [name_u]Blaire[/name_u]. Which do you prefer & why? thanks

I will add a poll!!

I absolutely agree with this. They are both so lovely!

Tonight I’m feeling special love for Blaire. She may not be as initially intuitive to me, but I think she’s extra whimsical and bonny. I love e endings, too! Feels bookish and smart. Again, though, I love both—and I think they’re equally pretty!

I agree with this! It’s snappier, with more spark and sharpness. I like how it distinguishes it from Claire?

Still, I get the pull of Blaire too - you can’t go wrong

I’m leaning towards [name_u]Blair[/name_u] because [name_u]Blaire[/name_u] feels like you have to linger a bit longer on it and it slightly becomes like ‘blah’ but I really like the -e on paper, it looks so pretty!

I prefer [name_u]Blaire[/name_u] because [name_u]Blair[/name_u] feels too [name_u]Tony[/name_u] [name_u]Blair[/name_u], the ex-UK prime minister, to me. [name_f]May[/name_f] not be so much of an issue if you’re in another country though.

i prefer blaire !! the length makes the name feel a bit more complete, which is a problem i usually have with blair (since i have a non-rhotic accent, it sounds a bit like bleh unfortunately). i think you’re right, that blaire feels really bright and airy !!
