I also like Zellie, which could be a name on its own or a nn for [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Zella[/name_f], [name_f]Gisella[/name_f], etc.
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f] and [name_f]Zella[/name_f] got my vote. I also like [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] but worry it’s too cutesy.
My favorite isn’t up there: Zadie! Also Zora. Both are literary, after Zadie Smith and Zora Neale Hurston!
Of the ones listed, I like Zosia - nice meaning and nice soft sounds to balance out the harshness of “Z.”
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is definitely my favorite, but I also like [name_f]Zosia[/name_f], [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f], and [name_f]Zetta[/name_f].
I’m with pp in loving [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] (used this on one of my cats) and [name_f]Zora[/name_f]. Both great namesakes. I also love [name_f]Zara[/name_f].
What about [name_f]Zara[/name_f] or [name_f]Zora[/name_f]? I think those are really pretty.

I’ve got a [name_f]Zadie[/name_f], so I’m biased toward that. But I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] both [name_f]Zella[/name_f] and [name_f]Zetta[/name_f]. If I’d been into names before [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] was born maybe I’d have found those options and I’d have a [name_f]Zella[/name_f] or [name_f]Zetta[/name_f] instead! [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is also one of my favorites, but I think [name_f]Zella[/name_f] and [name_f]Zetta[/name_f] are more wearable. If I had to pick one it would be [name_f]Zella[/name_f].
I voted for [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] and [name_f]Zosia[/name_f], those two are on my list as well! Both are gorgeous!
If you want a top three, I would add maybe [name_f]Zula[/name_f], Zosime/Zosima, [name_f]Zakia[/name_f] (za-KEE-uh) or [name_f]Zenovia[/name_f]. I’ve been crushing on [name_f]Zula[/name_f] lately, but [name_f]Zenovia[/name_f] has been a staple. I love the slightly softer -via ending, [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] is a little too bouncy.
Thanks to all who’ve voted so far - looks like [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] and [name_f]Zosia[/name_f] are coming out on top! I think those three might be the keepers, I do love them 
Lots of lovely suggestions too (argh I’m trying to narrow down, haha!) I do like [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_f]Zora[/name_f] a lot but have already narrowed them off the list for one reason or another. Zellie is very sweet and could be a lovely nn for [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] or [name_f]Zella[/name_f], thanks for that one @davisellu. And @dearest, Zosima is a gorgeous name! [name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t heard of that one before but it’s just beautiful. On the list it goes, oops!

Tough decisions. After hearing the meaning and originbof [name_f]Zella[/name_f] it is a favorite for me personally. I am looking for modern sounding names that have some deep rooted African origins. [name_f]Zella[/name_f] fits the bill. Okay so:
I really like [name_f]Zosia[/name_f]: I love the meaning and the sound is just lovely.
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f]: powerful and strong
[name_f]Zetta[/name_f]: this reminds me of [name_f]Etta[/name_f] (which I like very much due to [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]) if I could suggest [name_f]Zeta[/name_f].
I’d also like to suggest [name_f]Zona[/name_f].
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f] and [name_f]Zosia[/name_f] are my faves.
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] is my all time favorite [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] combo as of now. I am kind of in love with it.

@bluecurry [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] is stunning! I also saw a [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] in the 2015 baby names list, and I think that’s just gorgeous! [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], Zelda Florence, [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] are on my own list. [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]'s definitely a favourite!

I’m with @iipostmvh that the meaning and origin of [name_f]Zella[/name_f] makes it more appealing. Adds depth, rather than if it were just a Z tacked on to [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. But yet that familiarity makes it nice.
[name_f]Zetta[/name_f] could be used as a nickname [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f]?
ON a side note, @iipostmvh - do you have [name_f]Amara[/name_f] on your list?
I voted [name_f]Zosia[/name_f]! My other favorites are [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] and [name_f]Zetta[/name_f] {though I do prefer [name_f]Zeta[/name_f]}. I also love Zélie and Zéphine <3

[name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] and [name_f]Zosia[/name_f] still out on top then, with [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] an honourable mention. Looks like I have my keepers!
The only one of these names I really like is [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]. [name_f]Zosia[/name_f] is also really pretty, but I could see there being pronunciation challenges. My favorite Z- name is [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] nicknamed Zippy.
