I’ve been throwing around some names and I’d love your thoughts on the connotations of each. What sort of person do you automaticallt think of when you hear each name? Thanks so much.

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - I know someone who has this name, so my answer may be slightly biased, haha. But whenever I think of the name [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I think of someone sweet, yet the name also packs a powerful punch for one syllable. So someone strong and sweet.
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] - [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] are pretty close, I have different thoughts on both of them. While [name_f]Rose[/name_f] reminds me of someone strong and sweet, I see [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] belonging to someone innocent and pretty, but perhaps lacking that sort of power that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has.
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - I’m personally not that fond of the name, so whenever I see the name, I don’t really associate it with anything. I’m drawing a bit of a blank with this one.
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] - Hey, I know an [name_f]Emma[/name_f]! She’s always complaining that her name is too plain, but I quite like it. For [name_f]Emma[/name_f], I think of someone simple yet elegant in their own way, who has a nice personality, and generally gets on well with people.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] - I personally prefer [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] over [name_f]Tess[/name_f] as a FN, but when I see the name [name_f]Tess[/name_f] I think of someone quiet, someone that’s a wallflower. I don’t actually know why. It’s just what first came into mind.
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f] - I’m more familiar with similar name [name_f]Candace[/name_f], so I don’t really know about [name_f]Cadence[/name_f]. Drawing a blank on this one too.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]- reads like an old lady name to me, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I think of someone strong and proud.
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]- This is my cat’s name, so I’m having some trouble with this one. I guess I’d say someone cute and gentle. This is definitely a little girl’s name in my mind.
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]- I think of someone very smart and talented. It seems athletic to me too.
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]- I’d expect someone with this name to be quiet and shy. Bookworm type.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]- I love this name! It sounds pretty southern to me. I think “spunky” is the best adjective to describe my thoughts about a girl named [name_f]Tess[/name_f].
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f]- I immediately think about a drum cadence, so I’d expect this girl to be involved in music somehow. She might be confident and loud.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - I think this name is sort of plain, so I don’t really think of anything in particular. Maybe a quirky brunette who loves antiques and old books? Something like that.
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] - A polite, cute and smiley little girl with short brown hair and rosy cheeks. I have fond memories of this one because in Kindergarten, me and my friends would play ‘house’ and we didn’t know many other names other than our own. [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] were the only ones we could come up with, so Roaie brings back those memories.
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - A kind, sweet girl with long black hair. When my cousin was pregnant with her first child, we often discussed names and I suggested [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. It became ‘the name’ if they were having a girl, right up until she was born. She spent about an hour or two nameless while the whole family started calling her [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], but my cousin and her husband decided last minute to name her [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f].
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] - Kind of plain. A little girl with dirty-brown hair and glasses, who loves dancing, books and caring for animals.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] - Reminds me of the colour green, not really anything else though…
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f] - One of my very best friends. I’m part of “The Squad” at school, who are known for being silly, smiley and cheerful, along with five other people. [name_f]Cadence[/name_f] is one of them. She’s bright, silly and smart but a little sensitive.
