Whoops I lied! (Thoughts appreciated)

So I’m a massive liar (@greyblue you poor long suffering saint) and I managed to get the list down a tiny bit more! Would love some more thoughts or combos or anything that takes your fancy. Also they’re not on the list but Gates/Garland , Giverny/Gramercy and Hawkins are still on the table if you think those are better than what is here.

Also PS. Whilst I probably don’t need more confusion if there is a suggestion you have that you think could replace one of the names on this list I’d love to hear it. Also if you’d like to be blunt you can be.

I prefer [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] to [name_u]Auburn[/name_u].
Instead of [name_u]Bliss[/name_u], what about [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] or [name_f]Allegra[/name_f]?
Instead of [name_m]Bronze[/name_m], what about [name_f]Brontë[/name_f], Farize, [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] or [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u]?
Instead of [name_m]Castle[/name_m], what about [name_f]Cassie[/name_f], or [name_f]Cassandre[/name_f]?
Instead of [name_f]Chambray[/name_f], what about [name_f]Charmaine[/name_f], [name_f]Ambra[/name_f], [name_f]Charlene[/name_f] or Auray?
Instead of [name_u]Chapel[/name_u], what about [name_f]Chanel[/name_f] or [name_f]Apolline[/name_f] or [name_f]Hallie[/name_f]?
Instead of [name_u]Denali[/name_u], what about [name_f]Sonali[/name_f]?
Instead of [name_m]Hart[/name_m], what about [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] which means the same thing?
[name_u]Nevada[/name_u] is cool! I also suggest [name_f]Neva[/name_f] (a river in Russia), [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Addie[/name_f] / [name_f]Ada[/name_f], Nevina and [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] / [name_f]Nada[/name_f].
Instead of [name_f]Spring[/name_f], what about [name_f]Vesna[/name_f] (spring in most Slavic languages) or [name_f]Primavera[/name_f] (spring in Italian)? Also some months of spring: [name_u]March[/name_u], [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f] that would be great as names.
[name_f]Unity[/name_f] is cool! Some other virtue or word names: [name_f]Charity[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f], [name_f]Clarity[/name_f], [name_f]Amity[/name_f], [name_f]Constance[/name_f]. [name_f]Una[/name_f] would be a great add as well!
Some ideas if you like Tuscany: [name_u]French[/name_u] form Toscane and [name_f]Tosca[/name_f] (an Italian name meaning from Tuscany)
Some ideas if you like [name_u]Tulsa[/name_u]: [name_f]Sansa[/name_f], [name_f]Tula[/name_f], Tallula(h), [name_u]Sasha[/name_u], [name_f]Sally[/name_f].

Someones I like:

[name_f]Hathaway[/name_f]
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f]
[name_f]Unity[/name_f]
[name_u]Lazuli[/name_u]
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u]
[name_f]Lively[/name_f]
[name_u]Mercer[/name_u]

Auburn/Avalon
[name_m]Castle[/name_m]
[name_u]Chapel[/name_u]
[name_u]Clancy[/name_u]
Cobalt/Cricket
[name_u]Cypress[/name_u]
[name_m]Dover[/name_m]
[name_u]Flannery[/name_u]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m]
[name_u]Lazuli[/name_u]
[name_f]Malibu[/name_f] - which I think totally suits the aesthetic!
Mercer/Merritt
[name_u]Noble[/name_u]
[name_u]North[/name_u]
[name_u]Oasis[/name_u]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] - this as well.
[name_u]Quest[/name_u]
Vale/Valley
[name_f]Velvet[/name_f]
Windsor/Winslet

I prefer some of these for boys but wouldn’t mind them on a girl.

Replacements:

[name_f]Brindle[/name_f] - Bloom/Blossom/Brisa
[name_f]Chambray[/name_f] - California/Louisiana
[name_m]Chord[/name_m] - Creed/Ciel
[name_f]Daytona[/name_f] - Dandelion/Canyon/Dune
Delaware - Devon/Aspen
[name_m]Quade[/name_m] - Quill/Cyan/Wilder
Seattle - Alaska/Paris/Phoenix
Shine/Steele/Suede - Salem/Storm/Sunny
[name_u]Swayze[/name_u] - Sawyer/Simone
[name_u]Troian[/name_u] - Gemini/Tempest

I don’t know if it’s your style, but I was reminded of [name_f]Nirvana[/name_f]. You might like it.

:butterfly: Auburn/Avalon → these are really tricky to decide between. I think they both ‘fit’ the vibe you’re going with, but I’m going to say [name_u]Auburn[/name_u] feels more ‘you’. A bit more preppy and warm and distinctive.

:butterfly: Berlin/Dublin → I prefer [name_u]Berlin[/name_u]. Sleeker, more stylish.

:butterfly: [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] → sweet and bright, I like it

:butterfly: Brindle/Bronze → if I was to choose, I think [name_m]Bronze[/name_m]. It sounds pretty cool and interesting. [name_f]Brindle[/name_f] feels very ‘animal-descriptor’ to me.

:butterfly: Cashmere/Castle → [name_m]Castle[/name_m] is pretty cool and interesting. [name_u]Cashmere[/name_u] feels a bit odd as a name. If I was to swap these out, however, [name_u]Palace[/name_u] would be a cool name

:butterfly: Chambray/Channary/Channing → [name_u]Channing[/name_u] feels totally fitting for the aesthetic and [name_f]Channary[/name_f] is very cool - great meaning and sound

:butterfly: [name_u]Chapel[/name_u] → not sure I’d like ‘Chap’ in my name or something so very tied to religion

:butterfly: [name_m]Chord[/name_m] → it does have an interesting sound. It could grow on me maybe.

:butterfly: [name_u]Clancy[/name_u] → [name_u]Clancy[/name_u] is so charming and I love how it fits the vibe

:butterfly: Cobalt/Cricket → [name_u]Cricket[/name_u] is so zippy and snappy

:butterfly: [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] → sunny and bright

:butterfly: [name_f]Daytona[/name_f] → I don’t really love it, but it isn’t so bad. I just find it a bit awkward. Maybe it could grow on me?

:butterfly: Delaware → similar to above. I find it clumsy as a name.

:butterfly: Dempsey/Denali → [name_u]Dempsey[/name_u] is cool and breezy; [name_u]Denali[/name_u] isn’t one I’ve really thought on, but it’s really appealing today. Gentle but sparky.

:butterfly: [name_u]Diem[/name_u] → reminds me of dime and daim bars and cliches - not for me

:butterfly: Dover/Drummer → [name_m]Dover[/name_m] isn’t for me (too, I don’t know, [name_f]British[/name_f] patriotism vibes?). [name_u]Drummer[/name_u] isn’t a fave, but I don’t despise it.

:butterfly: [name_u]Dynasty[/name_u] → this one feels really heavy

:butterfly: [name_u]East[/name_u] → light and breezy, kind of fun and fits the vibe

:butterfly: England/Portland → both of these feel a bit clunky and clumsy for me

:butterfly: Ferris/Fields → [name_m]Ferris[/name_m] is very cool on a girl - and fits your vibe

:butterfly: [name_u]Flannery[/name_u] - airy and cool!

:butterfly: Hart/Hartford/Haviland → [name_m]Hart[/name_m] is pretty charming and cool, with a sort of preppy feel. Of the three, it’s my fave but I think [name_f]Haviland[/name_f] fits the vibe too

:butterfly: [name_f]Hathaway[/name_f] → rugged and cool, I don’t hate it

:butterfly: [name_f]Joplin[/name_f] → pretty zippy

:butterfly: [name_u]Kansas[/name_u] → it fits the vibe, and I like the nickname [name_f]Sassy[/name_f]

:butterfly: Kirby/Knightley _> [name_u]Kirby[/name_u] is too video game character to me; [name_u]Knightley[/name_u] is very charming and vibrant - would love to me one

:butterfly: [name_u]Kodiak[/name_u] → feels tied to the camera, and a bit clunky maybe, but it fits the pink vibe?

:butterfly: [name_u]Lazuli[/name_u] → gives me mysterious vibes and is a cool sounding name - not sure it 100% fits your aesthetic though

:butterfly: [name_f]Lively[/name_f] → light and zippy. It feels descriptive, but I kinda dig it you know

:butterfly: [name_f]Malibu[/name_f] → fits the aesthetic - very pink and bubbly - but also very [name_f]Trisha[/name_f] Paytas

:butterfly: Mercer/Merritt → [name_u]Mercer[/name_u] feels harsh and mercenary? [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] is wonderful and fits really well

:butterfly: [name_u]Nevada[/name_u] → pretty cool, relaxed and bright at the same time

:butterfly: [name_u]Noble[/name_u] → I like the vibes and sounds and meanings

:butterfly: [name_u]North[/name_u] → tied to [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]West[/name_u] but you know what, it’s pretty rugged, cool and stylish

:butterfly: [name_u]Oasis[/name_u] → warm, magical and cool but bold

:butterfly: Pine/Prairie → [name_u]Pine[/name_u] is a bit harsh; [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] is rugged and airy and lovely

:butterfly: [name_m]Quade[/name_m] → distinctive in sound, fits the vibe

:butterfly: [name_u]Quest[/name_u] → very cool, not sure it matches the aesthetic

:butterfly: Seattle → on one hand, it looks and sounds very cool; on the other, don’t love how it sounds like cattle

:butterfly: Shine/Spring - [name_f]Shine[/name_f] is so shiny (:person_facepalming: ) and sparkly. [name_f]Spring[/name_f] is interesting, don’t hate it

:butterfly: Silver/Slater → [name_u]Silver[/name_u] is sleek and cool. [name_m]Slater[/name_m] is kinda harsh

:butterfly: [name_u]Swayze[/name_u] → just find it very awkward

:butterfly: Teal/Teller → [name_u]Teal[/name_u] is bright and full of zeal and spark. Teller is okay, but a bit odd?

:butterfly: [name_m]Thorne[/name_m] → a bit harsh and not the vibe for me

:butterfly: Tierney/Tuscany → Tuscany is very distinctive but I prefer the more relaxed feel of [name_u]Tierney[/name_u] (maybe it helps that I knew one with the exact vibe of your aesthetic)

:butterfly: Topanga/Tulsa → both work and feel very you

:butterfly: [name_f]Topaz[/name_f] → sparkly and stylish

:butterfly: [name_u]Troian[/name_u] → it fits your aesthetic but reminds me of [name_m]Trystian[/name_m] for no good reason…

:butterfly: [name_f]Unity[/name_f] → kind of cool. And nn [name_f]Una[/name_f]?

:butterfly: Vale/Valley → [name_f]Valley[/name_f] is bright and sleek

:butterfly: [name_f]Velvet[/name_f] → sharp and stylish and matches the aesthetic

:butterfly: Windsor/Winslet → I do love [name_u]Windsor[/name_u] and I like the sound; [name_f]Winslet[/name_f] is zippy and bright and fits

:butterfly: [name_u]Yardley[/name_u] → don’t love it, but the more I see it, it has begun to grow on me

:butterfly: [name_u]York[/name_u] → not my fave atm

:butterfly: [name_u]Zenith[/name_u] → sharp, shiny and cool

If I was to replace some, basing it more on sound/feel rather than the categories as I was trying to do before:

[name_u]Kodiak[/name_u] → [name_u]Coco[/name_u] or [name_f]Kiki[/name_f]
[name_f]Brindle[/name_f] → [name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_u]Chapel[/name_u] → [name_u]Chance[/name_u] or [name_u]Royal[/name_u]
[name_m]Chord[/name_m] → [name_f]Lourdes[/name_f]
[name_f]Daytona[/name_f] → [name_m]Daley[/name_m] or [name_u]Delta[/name_u]
[name_u]Dynasty[/name_u] → [name_f]Willodean[/name_f] or Whitby
[name_u]Lazuli[/name_u] → Zaydie/Zazie
[name_u]Quest[/name_u] → [name_m]Quartz[/name_m]
[name_m]Thorne[/name_m] → Rosethorn

For your vibe I love…

WOW our taste is so similar!

[name_u]Auburn[/name_u] - Absolutely love this name for a boy. It’s understated, classy yet unique. For a girl it has that soft strength which I really appreciate.

[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] - Has to e right amount of femininity and spunk. Gives me visions of a female pilot (aviation vibes).

[name_u]Berlin[/name_u] - also strong with a pretty sound, the “lin” suffix adds to its femininity. I prefer it over [name_u]Dublin[/name_u] (the “dub” prefix isn’t as pretty).

[name_f]Brindle[/name_f] is really beautiful. I’m usually not a fan Br names but this has a quiet strength, spunk and uniqueness which I absolutely love.

[name_m]Castle[/name_m]. LOVE IT! One of the unique word names, much like [name_u]Chapel[/name_u], which is understated and makes a statement. [OMG I just realised you have [name_u]Chapel[/name_u] on your list]

[name_m]Chord[/name_m] - [name_f]Gorgeous[/name_f]!

[name_u]Cypress[/name_u]

[name_f]Daytona[/name_f]

Delaware - [name_u]Love[/name_u] the Dela prefix, which means “fly to the highest point”, “small winged one” or “pleasure/delight”. The Ware suffix also gives me the same short, sweet literary presence of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Wynn[/name_u].

[name_u]Dempsey[/name_u] - Spunky. I’d probably use it for a middle.

[name_u]Denali[/name_u] - [name_f]Gorgeous[/name_f], unique, worldly with a whimsical, ethereal presence. It’s almost vampiric (in the best way). Also has a beautiful meaning - “the high one”.

[name_u]Diem[/name_u] - love it with its “carpe diem” relations. Great alternative for “day”.

[name_u]Dynasty[/name_u] - strong! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it as a middle.

[name_u]East[/name_u]

[name_m]Portland[/name_m] - Absolutely love rarely used Place Names, especially ones that end in “land”. It’s in the category of [name_f]Vreeland[/name_f] and [name_u]Zealand[/name_u] for me.

[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] - whimsy, spunky, breezy.

[name_u]Garland[/name_u] - ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It’s been on my list for a while now, I definitely plan on using it for a middle.

[name_f]Haviland[/name_f] - ever since I came across the actress with this name I’ve loved it. I have a thing for strong yet feminine names that can stand on its own.

[name_f]Hathaway[/name_f] - Makes for a strong middle.

[name_u]Kansas[/name_u]

[name_u]Knightley[/name_u] - stately

[name_f]Lively[/name_f]

[name_u]Mercer[/name_u]

[name_u]Nevada[/name_u]

[name_u]Noble[/name_u] - Cute, strong. I also love names that translate to noble, such as Solène (pronounced Soh-Lehn).

[name_u]North[/name_u] - Statement making.

[name_u]Oasis[/name_u] - [name_u]Unique[/name_u] in the best way.

[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] - Such a wonderful alternative to “meadow”.

[name_u]Quest[/name_u] - [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] alternative to the overused [name_u]Journey[/name_u]. It’s classy and stately, especially paired with a name like [name_m]Irving[/name_m] or [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] (as a first or middle).

[name_u]Swayze[/name_u] - [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] tribute to the actor, but even if you’re not a fan, it’s strong, bold, great for both genders and has spunk. The Z gives it a timeless, contemporary quality.

[name_u]Teal[/name_u] - gorgeous colour name which is rarely used.

[name_m]Thorne[/name_m]

Tuscany

[name_u]Tulsa[/name_u] - might have negative historical connotations but it’s got a cute sound. Definitely a conversation starter.

Towne

[name_u]Troian[/name_u] - rare and beautiful.

[name_f]Unity[/name_f]

[name_u]Vale[/name_u] - cute, bold. It’s in the same category as “Valo” for me, which is a unique alternative.

[name_f]Valley[/name_f]

[name_f]Velvet[/name_f]

Windsor/Winslet : love W names. It’s in the same category as “Wisteria” and “Winslow” for me. Classy, whimsical yet individualistic.

[name_u]Zenith[/name_u] - I go back and forth with this name. It’s rare but also has a hint of “old lady”. I much prefer [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] as a flower alternative.

Middle Names:

[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] - [name_f]Breezy[/name_f] and has a girl-next-door vibe

[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] - Equal parts cute and powerful

[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] - timeless classic that doesn’t sound old

[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]

[name_u]Denali[/name_u]

[name_u]Zuri[/name_u]

[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]

[name_u]Sierra[/name_u]

[name_f]Amber[/name_f] - nice but I much prefer [name_u]Ember[/name_u]. Give its more edge and modernity.

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]

[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]

[name_f]Lainey[/name_f] - although I prefer the [name_u]Laney[/name_u] spelling.

[name_u]Lane[/name_u]

[name_u]Dove[/name_u]

[name_m]Hart[/name_m]

[name_u]Laurel[/name_u] - timeless classic with its beautiful nature origins.

[name_u]Moon[/name_u] - nice, but I much prefer names that directly translate (or relate) to its meaning, such as Lumet, [name_f]Loana[/name_f] or [name_f]Selene[/name_f].
