I was able to see an early screening of Wicked on [name_f]Monday[/name_f] (sooo good! Highly recommend!) and immediately after added [name_f]Elfie[/name_f] and [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] to my list of names. [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] had been on my list forever ago when I first fell in love with Wicked but I took it off because it felt too out there, but now with the movie I think we’ll see more names from the show or they’ll at least be more familiar to most people. Anyway, my question to everyone is which names from Wicked would you consider and which ones are better off staying in Munchkinland?
I’ve always found [name_f]Nessarose[/name_f] really pretty.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, nor have I actually seen the full musical, so I unfortunately don’t know too many of the names.
However I am a huge fan of [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] and [name_f]Elphaba[/name_f] “Elphie”. [name_f]Elphaba[/name_f] in it’s full glory is a GP for me (or a middle), though. I think Elphie and [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] could work.
I also like [name_f]Nessarose[/name_f] “Nessa” and [name_f]Glinda[/name_f] / [name_f]Galinda[/name_f]. [name_f]Nessarose[/name_f] “Nessa” could integrate well (though I’m a huge fan of Rose—/—rose names, so I’m kind of biased). [name_f]Glinda[/name_f] / [name_f]Galinda[/name_f], like [name_f]Elphaba[/name_f], are GPs or middles for me.
[name_m]Boq[/name_m] would make a very interesting nickname but, as a standalone first name, I’m not a huge fan. It just feels somewhat lacking (again, though, I’m kind of biased. I’m more of a long names girl).
