Wilcox? Forms of William

I’m just curious what you all would think of the last name Wilcox being used as a middle name?

We are Looking at the name [name]Roscoe[/name] and MN Wilcox or [name]Boone[/name] (Cowboy sounding right? )

My husbands name is [name]William[/name] and I really just have never liked it but I do like the variations like [name]Liam[/name], [name]Will[/name], [name]Wilson[/name]

[name]Roscoe[/name] Wilcox - I think has a strong sound to it
[name]Roscoe[/name] [name]Boone[/name] - We like this combo because [name]Boone[/name] reminds us of the south or the civil war or something like that

oh last name is Demarest… so any thoughts? Is it cool or am I being Crazy?

I just saw the name (or rather the potential name) Wilcox at work and happened to think the same thing… when I looked it up, I found your thread! I feel bad that it’s sat here this long with no response!! :frowning:

My husband shares his middle name, [name_m]William[/name_m], with his dad as well as his maternal grandpa’s name, but as much as it’s a family name, [name_m]William[/name_m] is not really appealing to me either.

But along with that, I was wondering if any reference to “Cox” would be a curse to a young man… there is teasing potential, if you get my drift.

I think [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] Wilcox is actually pretty cool tho  I mean, how many of them do you meet everyday?? probably 0 to None
