I can’t get the name [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] out of my head. I came across it recently and just love it! Especially with my current favorite [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. Can’t you see brothers [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]?!

So here’s the problem–my husband is sure his family would make fun of it. They are the type of people to make stupid jokes and think they’re funny. He said every time [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] enters the room, an aunt or uncle will exclaim “there’s the wild one!” Humpf.

We will be TTC soon, so it’s not an urgent issue right now, but what do you think?

[name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a PERFECT sibset. It is not too matchy but the boys seem like siblings.

I love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. I have [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Thackeray[/name_m] on my boy list. I think [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] go very well together.

I think the names go together fine. I love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] but because it makes me think of [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingells [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and days spent with my mom. I know a Wilder too, and he works in Law Enforcement so that’s nice.

I don’t like making a dumb joke is such a big deal, especially if they make dumb jokes about everything. You’d think they’d find something dumb to say about [name_u]Everett[/name_u] too, or anything else for that matter.

I can definitely see [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] together as brothers. I love [name_u]Everett[/name_u] more as a first name, but I guess they’re both actually surnames.

Funny, I just now recalled that 2 of my close male friends in high school had these last names. B!lly [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and Mic@h [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. :slight_smile:

Although our boys have more traditional names, I actually really love both [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], especially for brothers! Very cool names for boys, but ones I could also see on grown men.

I used to have [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] on my list! They’re so great together. SO nixed them both, but I love them to pieces. My family makes stupid jokes about everything and think they’re freaking geniuses, but I don’t care and you shouldn’t either. Actually, I make stupid jokes about everything too, now that I think about it. Haha! When I was considering [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], I remember my grandmother just loved it. She instantly got the [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingalls connection. My mum was a little more subdued on the name. I think my brother made a joke. Can’t please everyone.

I’m normally not a fan of names-that-aren’t-names but I really like [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. I do agree with your husband that some older family members will probably poke fun at it. I know my family would.
