So my husband and I have been discussing name for baby #1
We love the name [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]
Surname will be [name_u]Berry[/name_u]
Any ideas for middle names? My husband thinks we should go with [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] ([name_m]John[/name_m] is his name). I really don’t think I could handle the jokes from our mothers of “Of course your child is going to be crazy if he is a [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] version of his dad!”
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a little too “wordy” for me, but [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] is a cute combo. I would be wary of [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Berry[/name_u] just because those are two word names and they can sound awkward together.
I have a [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]! I love it, we call him wi (why) or wywy (I stole the nickname from a [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] lol!)
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] is adorable
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
I love the outdoorsy, masculine vibe of [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], plus the way it segues in my mind to literature via [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] Wilde and [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingalls [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. But it is a word, and to pair it with another word as last name would be a little much for me. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Berry[/name_u] sounds like a juice or a pop tart with a new and better flavor. I do love the way [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] sounds. Might I suggest, to avoid the adjective-noun problem, a sort-of-sound-alike: [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. My husband’s cousin just named their baby Wilde. I actually love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Berry[/name_u] together. Sounds like an amazing ice cream flavor and now I want ice cream! Also sounds like elderberry, which is cool. It also, haha, on a funnier note, reminds me of a silly sketch by [name_m]Monty[/name_m] Python where the guy says “your mother was a hamster, and your father smelled of elderberries!”
