Looking for feedback and suggestions for our boy’s list. We’ve been sitting on the girl’s list for several months and still love them all, so I think we have our top ten for girls. The boys just don’t feel right, not all of them. We like nature, fantasy, literature, mythology names. As you can see, we’re not opposed to “made up” names if it’s from a work of fiction we both love. Taking all suggestions and feedback. A name you can picture on a wilderness loving boy.
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] - I’ve tried every middle I can think of here and nothing ever feels like it’s the one
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] Elessar - thoughts on this? Elessar is Aragorn’s name once he’s crowned. It means elf stone in Quenya.
[name_m]Damian[/name_m] [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] - no feedback needed, we both like this one and it’s been pretty set as a top ten for over a year. This is our idea of a perfect name.
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m] Finvarra - feedback on this please. Some days I think the two names work great, other times it sounds too pretentious. Would [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] be better with a nice nature name? Finvarra is nice, but neither of us feel passionate about it.
[name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m] - this one doesn’t need feedback either. We like it just fine. Leaving it here to show what we like.
Gwydion Agathon - Too much -on ending syllable going on? Last name ends with -an. Gwydion will always be on my list. Agathon comes and goes.
[name_m]Jorah[/name_m] - love this name. Like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], nothing seems to work. Maybe it’s time to retire [name_m]Jorah[/name_m]? Ugh.
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] - feedback please. [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] we love. [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] is fun, a nice nod to our love of nature (bear) and both of our Scandi ancestry.
[name_m]Peregrin[/name_m] Llyr - this may be getting cut as much as I don’t want to cut it. As much as I love [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m], I’m not sure I can picture him as my son. Maybe another Tolkien name? A different nature name? We used to have [name_m]Griffin[/name_m].
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] Finglas - [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] stays. I love Finglas, SO says it’s cool but nothing special. Another Tolkien name, he was an ent, one of the oldest, which I think is neat because it’s nature and literature, sort of like [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m].
Other names we’ve considered: [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Ward[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Ivanhoe[/name_m] [name_m]Thorn[/name_m], [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] [name_m]Woodrow[/name_m] [name_m]Hale[/name_m], [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Colin[/name_m], [name_m]Rune[/name_m], [name_u]Story[/name_u], [name_m]Kester[/name_m], Kestrel, [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_u]North[/name_u]

I have no problem with you using it, even if it does stay on our list. For your combos, I’m liking [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and loving Gwydion [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. Wow! That might be my favorite Gwydion combo yet. I’ve always thought I couldn’t use [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] because it’s similar to my first name ([name_f]Erica[/name_f]), but I might like that combo enough to not care. I like [name_m]Jorah[/name_m] [name_m]Wulf[/name_m]/[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] a lot, too. Thank you for the suggestions and feedback. I’ll be discussing with SO.
