Wilhelmina Mae or Wilhelmina Kate?

We are still on our quest to find the perfect name for our baby due in [name]December[/name]. If it’s a boy we will likely choose [name]Theodore[/name] nn [name]Theo[/name]. For a girl we are deciding between [name]Wilhelmina[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] but leaning heavily towards [name]Wilhelmina[/name] nn [name]Willa[/name] at this point. Which middle name do you like better?

[name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Mae[/name]

OR

[name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Kate[/name]

[name]Mae[/name] is a middle name of a great-great-great grandmother…so a family name of sorts but nothing sentimental to us. [name]Kate[/name] is a part of my own name. I’m not a fan of naming babies after yourself, but it does work. I wish we could find a better family name that fits but it’s very tricky with [name]Wilhelmina[/name]!

Any other suggestions - maybe two syllable names that would work? Last name is one syllable. Plant names ([name]Ivy[/name], [name]Olive[/name], [name]Rose[/name], etc.) are not an option because of our last name.

I prefer [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Mae[/name] to [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Kate[/name] I think it has a nicer, more melodic flow to it. I also think that [name]Willa[/name]-[name]Mae[/name] sounds better than [name]Willa[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. (Should that ever become a concern.)

I agree that [name]Willa[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is cuter than [name]Willa[/name] [name]Kate[/name]! I don’t think it would be an official nick name but I think some family would like calling her [name]Willa[/name] [name]Mae[/name] if it were an option.

[name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Mae[/name]! You can say it really fast and it still sounds great.

[name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Mae[/name] for sure! It is stunning!

I love [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Mae[/name]! and [name]Willa[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is so cute

I was considering [name]Willa[/name] [name]Kate[/name] myself until I thought about the royals [name]Will[/name] & [name]Kate[/name]…

I prefer [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. The m in [name]Mina[/name] and [name]Mae[/name] disrupt the flow imo

I agree with this perspective.

I think both [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Mae[/name] and [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Kate[/name] are nice. [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Kate[/name] is my favorite.

Also, I love [name]Willa[/name] [name]Kate[/name]! It is darling.

I would have had a hard time choosing between two such lovely combinations, but with the recent marriage in the UK I would not pick [name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. It was the first thing I thought of upon hearing that name (and I am by no means in to following celebrities or royals- the opposite in fact- so I imagine the connection would be stronger for lots of people).
