Will Her Initials Be to Weird?

So, I’m not currently pregnant as I just had a little boy a couple of months ago. Before we found out it was a boy we had a girl’s name picked out immediately, we struggled for a long time for a boy’s name.

Now that we’re trying to decide how close together we want our little ones to be we’ve started talking names again. When talking about the girl’s name (that we shockingly both still love) I noticed something that could potentially cause teasing and wanted to ask all you lovely souls your opinions.

We’ve decided to use 2 middle names for our children, so for a girl, her initials would be IAMC. The problem? IAM with an “s” at the end is a popular pet food brand and we have several pets. It also spells out I AM C which is a little weird maybe? We also got for our first and plan to get for more children, monogrammed onesies for a coming home outfit. I’m worried IAMC will look so weird on a onesie. What do you all think? Thanks in advance for any advice and helpful comments!

I think it’s fine - doesn’t seem weird to me

i think it’s cute, like a proclamation of what family she belongs too, " I AM C!!!"
I don’t think of the dog food…but i’m not in your community, idk what everyone feeds their dog there.

you could always leave the M (or the A) out of any monograms for simplicity.

I see no issue with it!

Nah it doesn’t remind me of Iams and I don’t think it would majorly cause teasing. I don’t remember knowing most of my classmates’ middle names or initials tbh. It doesn’t spell a recognisable word (eg I’ve fallen in love with combos that spell things like PERK and thought better of it  )

I don’t think it’s weird at all!

No one thinks about this stuff so don’t worry.

Since her surname is C… I am C seems fine! For the onesie, I think font or style could downplay any weirdness. [name_u]Or[/name_u] just choose one middle for the monogram? [name_u]Ive[/name_u] always wondered about 2 middles on a monogram just in general

It could be weird as a monogram depending on the font and style. If it’s all in line and the same size for each letter it could look like you’re trying to spell something and it spells I am C. But that could also be a good thing. I Am C can easily mean “I am a Carlton” or whatever your last name is… it’s a nice little sentence that shows she belongs in your family. That’s sweet. Or… Maybe have her first name embroidered instead of initials on the coming home outfit.

But in the big picture, long term, there’s no problem I can foresee with those initials.

I don’t think it’s a problem. Wouldn’t a monogram have the last initial in the middle spot anyway? Something like I C AM? Otherwise (in the case of all the letters in order), it’s called initials.

i don’t think it’s a problem!

Not at all X

I think the initials are fine :white_heart:

I did think of Iams but quickly dismissed it because it didn’t seem bad enough to be more than an odd coincidence? Sure, it exists, but it’s only similar to her initials? Also, how likely will it be that everyone knows all four initials when she’s in school? Plus, as far as associations goes, Iams is pretty harmless lol.

I was more concerned that “I am C____” could be something vulgar that I hadn’t thought of, I really think you’re fine!

Good luck!

I think her initials are absolutely perfect ! If you love the name use it

It doesnt remind me of the pet food at all! Honestly even if said out loud it doesn’t sound/look like the brand, so you should be fine
