Hello everyone! My hubby and I want the perfect name for our second daughter. She will be a younger sister to [name_f]Ryann[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (pronounced like [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]) and will have the middle name [name_u]Jude[/name_u] after my husband’s aunt [name_f]Judy[/name_f], who was like a mother to him, but we dislike [name_f]Judy[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] shares a meaning with [name_f]Judy[/name_f]. [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is my mothers middle name, [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is a varient of my great grandmother [name_f]Wilma[/name_f]'s name, and [name_f]Ann[/name_f] was my grandmothers middle name, so all names have value and sentiment, along with reasom. Our last name starts with an M and has emphasis on the harsh sounding first syllable. Thanks for your help!
My favorite is [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] might come across as a boy’s names because both of these names are used for boys as well. [name_f]Ansleigh[/name_f] doesn’t really appeal to me and I think she will have to spell it out a lot of times in her life. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is much easier and decidedly feminine while [name_u]Jude[/name_u] gives it the kind of tomboy feeling it shares with [name_f]Ryann[/name_f] grace.
I don’t know if it is your style but you could also use [name_f]Judith[/name_f] as a middle name? That way you get an unisex first name to sound more feminine.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]! I think the styles match a little better than [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] and [name_f]Ansleigh[/name_f]
[name_f]Ryann[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] go well together.
I prefer [name_u]Leighton[/name_u]. As the pp mentioned, [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is androgynous but leaning toward masculine. On paper I’d assume [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] was a boy since you made sure to pair [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] with an undeniably female mn. Using Judeth/[name_f]Judith[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] as the mn will give the combo femininity.
Personally, I like androgyny (but dislike [name_u]Jude[/name_u]) so I’d go with [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] [name_m]Judah[/name_m].
[name_u]Leighton[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is stunning!
I like [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] best by a great margin, and agree the other two may cause more pronunciation/spelling/gender confusion.
My favorite is absolutely [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u].
So pretty, and it has a certain essence. Not sure if I could describe it, but here I will try…
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is sure of herself, she is comforting, sweet, soft-spoken, and wide-eyed.
I really, really like this. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] was on my list, but it isn’t my husband’s style.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is absolutely adorable! By far my favorite.
Agreed. I think [name_f]Ryann[/name_f] and [name_f]Ansleigh[/name_f] sound the best, but I like [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] the most. If you were open to [name_f]Judith[/name_f], I think [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] would work well, too, and [name_f]Ryann[/name_f] and [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] work well together.
Good luck!
I don’t care for [name_u]Jude[/name_u] on a girl, but as its a middle name and means something to you I think [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is your best combo. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] would be splendid if you’re open to it though.
