[name_f]Willa[/name_f] or Hazel?? Having so much trouble deciding and could use some fresh opinions :slight_smile:

I love both but would probably choose [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]!

I prefer the sweet and zippy [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]!

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] is pretty, but I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] a lot more!

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is one of my very favorites, so of course I have to choose that!

I also adore [name_f]Willa[/name_f] – it was a contender for my dog’s name, which I know doesn’t sound like a compliment, but it definitely is! However, I don’t love how it’s constantly misheard as [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. Another beautiful name, but obviously not the same, and for me that’s a dealbreaker.

I prefer [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] but you can’t go wrong with either.

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] feels free and unrestrained, I imagine blue dresses, open fields, riding a horse at top speed, & dancing in the rain :cloud_with_rain: [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] feels different, it’s tailored, warm, and a bit cheeky - I think of autumn hues, fireplaces burning after a long day, and a cheeky little girl setting up a prank somewhere or creating some art :framed_picture: I can see why you’re torn both are lovely.

I would try the “starbucks cup” trick with [name_f]Willa[/name_f], to see if it is misheard as [name_f]Willow[/name_f], which would be my only concern with the name.

if popularity matters to you I’m pretty sure in the US, [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] would rank much higher

Choosing in isolation, I think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]. But [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is an absolutely great name and I could be easily persuaded towards her if she goes better with middle or last names involved etc!

What a tough choice! I think [name_f]Willa[/name_f] wins out slightly for me - literary, bright and sparkly. [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] but strong!

I think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is warm, cosy and has sweet autumnal connotations. She’s gorgeous!

I LOVE [name_f]Willa[/name_f]! [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is pretty but feels a little more trendy to me. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is just so charming!

Both are beautiful, but I would personally go with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] :chipmunk::basket::nesting_dolls:

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] is beautiful, but [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is my favorite. I love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] sound and meaning. It’s warm, gentle, sweet and elegant.

100% agree you can’t go wrong with that choice! [name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts as the mom of a [name_f]Willa[/name_f]:

  • I haven’t regretted her name for an instant
  • it does get mistaken for [name_f]Willow[/name_f], but it’s an easy correction and hasn’t been a problem
  • I know/know of three little Hazels in my area and have only met one other, older [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
  • I agree that [name_f]Willa[/name_f] feels like spring/summer and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] feels like fall/winter! If it were me I might just choose based on when she’s due
  • both are gorgeous!
