So after considering [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] to the point of name fatigue (lol) I started to dislike how [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] rhymes with my dogs name, [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. And [name_f]Ada[/name_f] started to feel short but is still in the running for sure. So [name_m]Ive[/name_m] come back to one of my original favorites, [name_u]Willow[/name_u]!
[name_m]Ive[/name_m] done a poll on this in the Quick poll but wanted to give some background too. Both [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] are linked to family. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is linked to a few people including my mother. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is linked to my husband, he’s a 4th! Actually my husband really likes [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] as a first but I don’t love it as much, right now anyway. I love both these names as middles and Im not bothered that both [name_u]Willow[/name_u] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] are technically plants
So what do you think about [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]?
I prefer Willow Caroline! It’s very gentle and sweet. I’m not personally a fan of the double plant name in Willow Ivy, but I do like the way it sounds and that it honors your partner! I think if I personally used Ivy in this situation, I’d go with Caroline Ivy or Ivy Caroline
I like both, I think I prefer [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
Boy sibling: [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]?
[name_f]Girl[/name_f] sibling: [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]?
I don’t normally like double word names but [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] has so much charm -it sounds sort of whimsical, earthy and sweet. I love [name_u]Willow[/name_u]!
Yes, I keep imagining myself accidentally calling my daughter the dog’s name
[name_u]Love[/name_u] your sibling suggestions! Especially [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Norah[/name_f], [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m], and [name_m]Heath[/name_m]. Thanks!
I think I’d probably pick [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] over [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. I think having two plant names would be a bit much for me - it’d be a little different if it was something like [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] (which means from the Forest) vs having two literal plant names.
If you like [name_u]Willow[/name_u], would you maybe also like [name_f]Willa[/name_f]? It has more of the vintage vibe that [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] have and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is a great combo!!
I like [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]! It sounds like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] could be a contender in the future. So if it’s a name you may want to use down the road I say don’t use it as a middle name for now and wait to see. [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] sounds very elegant and classic.
I prefer ivy to go with willow however if you’re still considering ada I would go with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] because it goes with willow and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] whereas ada ivy doesn’t sound great (in my opinion). Also if you think it feels too short you can spell it ayda. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps
