I’ve been so stuck on [name_f]Willow[/name_f] lately for my daughter. I think it’s uncommon yet whimsical. Opinions, or suggestions of similar names? [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!
I would not say it’s that uncommon but I like it. Similar names are [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_f]Harlow[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is really beautiful. My partner and I both work with kids and everybody in my circle is having babies, I haven’t met a little [name_f]Willow[/name_f] in real life but it’s definitely familiar as a name. It’s easy to spell and pronounce but not so common that she’ll be in class with lots of other Willows. If you love it, go for it!
I adore it. Definitely not uncommon, but I agree that it’s whimsical.
For similar names, I like [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Lux[/name_f], [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f].
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] is lovely. It’s nature themed but familiar and yes whimsical. I know two baby girls named [name_f]Willow[/name_f] so for me I don’t see it as that uncommon.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] is gorgeous. Has been a long time favorite of mine! Similar flowy tree names are [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]Linden[/name_u]. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is instantly recognizable, graceful, and uncommon without being unheard of. She will probably be the only one in her class but no one will have trouble pronouncing or understanding her name.
I really like it, but in my opinion, its neither uncommon nor whimsical. it seems much more earthy to me, as a lot of nature names do.
I’ve loved the name [name_f]Willow[/name_f] for decades. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] trees are graceful & have comfortable shade (& are a fun place to hide when you’re a kid), which provides positive imagery for the name. And the pussy willow shrub’s fuzzy grey catkins are another positive image for me.
I like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] quite a bit. Names that strike as a having a somewhat similar vibe are [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], and [name_u]Wren[/name_u].
I think [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is lovely. It was on our list when we had our daughter 4 years ago. At the time I thought it was uncommon. I’ve since met 7 little Willows I think… perhaps it’s uncommon where you live though. It’s whimsical and beautiful regardless, but if uncommon is important to you, you may want to investigate further to see if it truly is in your area.
I love [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. I wouldn’t say it’s uncommon since it’s inside the US top 100, but it’s still whimsical and lovely. My mom’s friend is in her 50s and was named [name_f]Willow[/name_f] (her parents were hippies) and my mom always thought it was a weird name. So I think it’s great that it’s gotten so popular, especially since a few celebrities have used it.
