Winnie?

Any ideas for names that could be shortened to [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] other than [name_f]Edwina[/name_f] or [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]? Looking for something more timeless/classic.

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]/[name_f]Gwenna[/name_f]

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_f]Branwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]

[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], perhaps? Similar feel to [name_f]Edwina[/name_f] and [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], though …

[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] and [name_f]Winona[/name_f] are the only ones I can think of though not sure they’re classic/timeless

[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] is a thought, with nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].

My first thought was [name_f]Gwendoline[/name_f]. The -ine spelling might make the link more obvious.

[name_u]Winter[/name_u] would be so pretty!

[name_f]Winona[/name_f], [name_f]Winola[/name_f], [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Rowena[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f], [name_f]Olwen[/name_f], [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f], [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] (basically any name ending in -wen), [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Eowyn[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], [name_f]Anwen[/name_f].

Honestly, I’ve been thinking of just [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] lately. I hate all the longer forms, but absolutely adore [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. I’m usually all about having a longer name, but none of them feel right to me.
