[name_m]Ive[/name_m] recently fallen smitten with [name_m]Winston[/name_m], nn [name_u]Win[/name_u]. But it struck me today how similar it sounds to the popular and feminine [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_u]Win[/name_u] is too close/is too feminine sounding?
I love it. Handsome, strong, and masculine, yet sweet and loving as well. I think [name_u]Win[/name_u] is a great nickname and I do not think it is too feminine at all.
I always think of [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_m]Churchill[/name_m] and his inspiring wartime speeches. It’s a noble name of great depth of character. Since there is a similar Welsh male name spelled [name_u]Wyn[/name_u]/[name_u]Wynn[/name_u] , I don’t see why [name_u]Win[/name_u] can’t be masculine as well. I think [name_m]Winston[/name_m] is a strong and masculine choice.
[name_m]Churchill[/name_m] is a good namesake. I think it’s handsome and masculine, even with the nn [name_u]Win[/name_u]. Fits in with nicknames like [name_u]Cal[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Seb[/name_m], [name_m]Wes[/name_m], etc.
At last someone who has [name_m]Winston[/name_m] on their list, as mischa said it reminds me of the iconic [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_m]Churchill[/name_m]
I love [name_m]Winston[/name_m]! I currently have it on my list, but it’s still unpaired as far as middles go. [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Piper[/name_u] has a son named [name_m]Winston[/name_m] {her other son is [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], isn’t that the cutest sibling set?!}
I don’t think [name_u]Win[/name_u] is too feminine for a nickname
