I think this name has a lovely sound. Why do you berries think this name has never become a name hit, like [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Rose[/name]? It has just as lovely a sound, if not lovelier. Would I be crazy to consider this name?
I think it’s a nice name, rather up the same way as [name]Iris[/name] is. Probably because wisteria is not a common flower in the way roses and lilies and violets are, as well as there never being a particularly famous [name]Wisteria[/name] to be the namesake. It’s a difficult name too, starting with a “W”, it’s not bound to be as popular as the “A” names are. And there’s the “[name]Wisteria[/name] [name]Lane[/name]” associations, I suppose.

It is from Desperate Housewives, but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. After this year, Desperate Housewives will be off the air, so I don’t see an issue.
I think [name]Wisteria[/name] is really pretty.
Hmmm. I want to like it, and it does have a pretty sound, but the following are holding me back: It sounds like “hysteria.” And, in fact, the -eria ending makes me think of illnesses like diptheria or malaria. Also, the beginning word “wist” makes it sound sorrowful, like “wistful.” So, despite the fact that it conjures pretty imagery for me, I think those factors would overshadow me using the name in real life. Would you have a nickname in mind, or would you just use the full name all the time?
I have to say I like the name [name]Wisteria[/name] but the moment I saw it I thought of Desperate Housewives which I dont even watch, so Im assuming a lot of people would think the same since it’s a popular show. Desperate Housewives makes me think of ditzy girls and cookie cutter houses so I dont know, it might not be that big of a deal but it’s not the best association in the world…

I really like it, but I agree that it sounds similar to hysteria. Then it makes me want to sing Def Leppard. Then once I get done singing, I come back to liking it. Beats [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] in my opinion.
