What do you think of the name Woods? It sort of honors but I’m in it more for the associated imagery. Which of the combos below should I keep? Suggestions?
Woods [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and Woods [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] are my favourites, and I would avoid middles also ending in -s, such as Woods [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m]. I’m not wild about Woods (no pun intended!) but it’s not terrible either. It would fit right in with the other surname names trending at the moment without being super common.
It’s not really my style but I do like [name_m]Woodrow[/name_m] and [name_m]Woody[/name_m] so I don’t see why you couldn’t use [name_m]Wood[/name_m]. My favourites are Woods [name_m]Eli[/name_m], Woods [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] and Woods [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
I really Like Woods as a first name ,but for some reason I think your middle name combos sound better flipped. [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] Woods, [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] Woods, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Woods, [name_m]Eli[/name_m] Woods maybe because its a traditionally a last name.
[name_m]Woodrow[/name_m] is nice. Woods is actually because there are a few men in my family named [name_m]Woodson[/name_m], nn Woods. I’m not particularly close to any of them that’s why I say it “sort of” honors.
Woods [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] and Woods [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] get my vote- I think I’ve said before that I think it’s a seriously handsome choice
I like the imagery of Woods too, and though in the past I’ve not been too keen on ‘surnames as first names’ I’m actually starting to warm up to many of them, and Woods is no exception - it makes for a lovely name, I think.
Woods [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] is the one combo that I think flows quite well - the others I’m not as fond of myself mainly due to flow (Woods [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] & Woods [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] would get my second and third runners-up votes though). If you were to push Woods into the middle though, many firsts would flow really well with him this way.
Hmmm, at first glance I do like it for the imagery and the sound. My only concern is it brings up [name_m]Tiger[/name_m] Woods very quickly in my mind which would have been fine before all the scandalous stuff went down. You’d have to be ok with people potentially asking if you named him after the famous golfer. But it may be a non-issue. Would just have to be willing to see how it plays out.
I said it earlier, but I’m not sure if anyone noticed: Woods is actually because there are some men in my family named [name_m]Woodson[/name_m], a few of whom have the nickname Woods. I’m not particularly close to any of them that’s why I say it “sort of” honors. I like Woods for it’s imagery, of course, but there is still that family aspect to it. So, of course if anyone mentioned someone like [name_m]Tiger[/name_m] Woods I’d be able to tell them that.
