Worst "You-Nique" spelling I have ever seen.

I just met a Jawn.

Not [name]John[/name], or [name]Jon[/name], but Jawn.

Wow.

I just yawned reading that. And I’m not kidding!

Jurnii. [name]Journey[/name] is not my favorite to begin with, but misspelled as Jurnii is just awful.

I once met a Tyllor.

I know a baby boy named Hunner. It’s not the worst, but it still made me cringe when I heard it. And the spelling ‘Jawn’ reminds be of how fans of BBC’s [name]Sherlock[/name] spell [name]John[/name] [name]Watson[/name]'s name, because that’s how they sound to them with their accents, heh.

I don’t even like [name]Chloe[/name] being made into [name]Khloe[/name], or Irish names being anglicized “[name]Niamh[/name]-[name]Nieve[/name]”.

Airwrecka. It was someone on a Dr. [name]Phil[/name]-type show, I believe. Since the name wasn’t spoken aloud, it didn’t occur to me that it was supposed to be [name]Erica[/name]/[name]Erika[/name] until the show was halfway over.

TRA -was on the nametag of a fast-food employee…she said it’s the same as [name]Tiara[/name]…

[name]Jakob[/name] is the traditional [name]German[/name] spelling of [name]Jacob[/name], fyi. Not a “yoo-nique” spelling.

Jawn is…really really bad. BAD. BAD.

From (where else?) Toddlers and Tiaras: Alycesaundra.

Good gravy.

A friend from high school just named her son Kruix. Aka [name]Crew[/name]. I’m guessing that maybe she was inspired by [name]Croix[/name]?

Jawn is awful. I saw a Jaxxon once. [name]Jaxon[/name] is bad enough, but Jaxxon? Why not just go ahead and add that third X?

Someone asked me one time to read out this name because they met someone named it. I could not figure it out for the life of me.
La-a…translation La’[name]Dasha[/name] or [name]Ladasha[/name]. And they were not kidding.

I had a feeling good ol’ La-a would pop up here. Surprised there’s no Orangejello/Limoncello yet! [name]Just[/name] have to put this up: Is This Child's Name for Real? | Snopes.com

I had a student last semester, Amithisstte. But Jawn is pretty god-awful. What are people thinking???

At my after school that I help teach during the school year, we have:
[name]Gabryelle[/name]
Jewelia
[name]Dustyn[/name] (a boy)

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head but some of the names in general are bad, these are just interesting spellings.

All of these are hilarious! Until I heard poor Jawn’s spelling, the worst I’d encountered was a high school boyfriend called [name]Cori[/name]. Not that it’s too bad on the surface (perhaps a bit feminine) but that his parents called him that because it’s IROC backwards, after the car race & type of vehicle model his dad drove. Sigh.
