I love how no one can really give her a nickname if we name her [name]Ari[/name]. Thoughts? Please try and be respect even if you don’t like the name.

[name]Ari[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name]
Personally, I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Ari[/name]!!
[name]Ari[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] is nice together, but I don’t really like [name]Gabrielle[/name].

I know a girl named [name]Ari[/name] but I think her full name is [name]Arielle[/name]. I like a longer form with it, like [name]Arianna[/name], but I think [name]Ari[/name] can work fine on it’s own too. It’s lovely.
However, she could get a nickname if people wanted to give her one. Ri-ri maybe, or make one up. So if that’s the only reason you like it by itself then sorry, but every name can have a nickname if you try hard enough
I think [name]Ari[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] is lovely and completely acceptable.
[name]Arielle[/name] was my first choice.
I think it needs a full name so it will age better. [name]Ari[/name] is a cute nickname though.
Some full name suggestions:
[name]Arielle[/name]/[name]Arial[/name]/[name]Ariel[/name]
[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name]
[name]Ariadne[/name]
I thought [name]Ari[/name] alone was a boy’s name? I would like it better as a nn for [name]Aria[/name], [name]Ariel[/name], or [name]Ariana[/name].
I like it as a nn for [name]Clara[/name] (pn Clah-ra).
On it’s own I would see it as a boy’s name.
[name]Ari[/name] is too masculine to stand on its own, [name]IMO[/name]. As others have said, [name]Arielle[/name] or [name]Ariel[/name] would be a lovely full name, with [name]Ari[/name] as a cute NN.
[name]Ari[/name] actually now, goes both ways. It’s unisex, I have seen it on both males and females.
Yes, it’s definitely unisex (I had a female student named [name]Ari[/name]), but I still consider it a masculine name. [name]Elliott[/name] or [name]Taylor[/name] would be comparable.
[name]Ari[/name] is a boy name
From my experiences, girl [name]Ari[/name] is “airy” and a nn for [name]Ariel[/name]/[name]Arianna[/name]/etc, while boy [name]Ari[/name] is “aw-ree”
[name]Ari[/name] is a little incomplete for my liking, but very sweet all the same. I’d like it better as a nn for [name]Aria[/name], [name]Ariana[/name], or [name]Arielle[/name], though its nice on its own too.
I know an [name]Ari[/name], she is in her mid-20’s and uses it professionally, so I can assure you it ages well. I do believe it is her nickname from one of the longer names above, but she NEVER uses it. If you want her name/nickname to be [name]Ari[/name], you could use one of the longer ones and from day 1 only call her [name]Ari[/name], register her at school as [name]Ari[/name], introduce her as [name]Ari[/name], ect. I think the point was well made that even with a short name, people [name]LOVE[/name] to give nicknames and could land on something like [name]Ree[/name]-[name]Ree[/name].
I actually really like [name]Ari[/name] on its own. To me it seems substantial enough, and I like the no-nickname idea. It might be cute as a nn for [name]Arianna[/name], though, if you decide you want a longer name.
Its funny, because I just realized how many ‘[name]Ari[/name]’ names I like!!

I know an [name]Arie[/name]. I think it works just fine as a complete name, and if [name]Ari[/name] looks to masculine for you the e at the end makes it look definitely feminine without adding another sylable. The only slight disadvantage I’ve see is that pronunciation is a bit unclear. No one seems to know if it’s [name]Ah[/name]-ri, or [name]Air[/name]-ee. I don’t think that’s a deal breaker or anything though!
I like [name]Ari[/name] Joliah, it’s cute
