Middle name will be [name_m]Florencio[/name_m] Last name is a very long super Spanish name…
Papa is from Spain and unusually has [name_u]RED[/name_u] hair, Mommy is from USA and is BLOND. Name needs to sound at least similar in both countries.
[name_u]Baby[/name_u] will have a very long Spanish portion to his name - so I’d love something uncommon, short, super galactic, scandanavian for a first name. Open to suggestions!!!
I think the only name I really don’t like is [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. There are just too many connotations for me to get over. My favorite is [name_m]Viggo[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Soren[/name_m] goes better with [name_m]Florencio[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Soren[/name_m]! My second choice would be [name_m]Viggo[/name_m]. I agree with the above poster - I really don’t like [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. I am not crazy about [name_u]Neo[/name_u], but it’s ok. [name_m]Soren[/name_m] & [name_m]Viggo[/name_m] are both great choices! [name_m]Soren[/name_m] has always been a favorite of mine:-)
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Soren[/name_m], and I think [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_m]Florencio[/name_m] is super cool! [name_m]Viggo[/name_m] is unusual and interesting, but it’s never been something that I’ve found appealing at all, unfortunately! [name_u]Mars[/name_u] is interesting, but I generally prefer it as a nn (like for [name_m]Martin[/name_m]). [name_u]Neo[/name_u] is okay, but I always think of the musician (Ne-[name_f]Yo[/name_f]?). I don’t like how [name_u]Neo[/name_u] [name_m]Florencio[/name_m] rhymes, either.
I love both [name_m]Soren[/name_m] and [name_m]Viggo[/name_m]. Both are great options. I actually could probably get behind [name_u]Mars[/name_u] as well, but it wouldn’t be my top choice.
Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of [name_u]Neo[/name_u] at all. I agree with the PP that mentioned it just made them think of Ne-[name_f]Yo[/name_f].
Thanks everyone My pics are [name_m]Viggo[/name_m] and [name_m]Soren[/name_m], and the Spaniard likes [name_u]Mars[/name_u] and [name_u]Neo[/name_u]… I think I could get behind [name_u]Mars[/name_u] if he comes out with a shock of red hair like the red planet… I think we will have to meet him… I don’t know who Ne-[name_f]Yo[/name_f] is but I do know the Matrix connection for [name_u]Neo[/name_u]…
If you do have a red head, I concur with your Spaniard and think that [name_u]Mars[/name_u] would go very well with [name_m]Florencio[/name_m].
I was not sure about the (kind of) rhyming names - there is already an o on the end of the wonderful [name_m]Florencio[/name_m] and [name_m]Soren[/name_m] rhymes with Floren - but maybe these echoes of the second name are intentional?
What about [name_m]Rad[/name_m]? (assuming it derives from the Norse Rauð - meaning red)
Jarl (nobleman or chief)
[name_u]Tait[/name_u] (cheerful or happy)
[name_m]Tyr[/name_m] (celestial being or deity)
[name_m]Hal[/name_m] (the computer in 2001 Space Odyssey)
[name_m]Arch[/name_m] (one of [name_m]Jupiter[/name_m]'s moons)
[name_m]Altair[/name_m] (a star)
Thanks everyone for the suggestions - I didn’t even notice the potential rhyming factor… !!! Not intentional… but interesting nonetheless… I feel like I need to meet him before deciding.
I think I like [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_m]Florencio[/name_m] the best. However, the Sor/[name_f]Flor[/name_f] rhyme bothers me. Something short and Scandinavian:
