Would you make fun?

My sons name is [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and we are expecting a 2nd boy. I like the name [name_u]Finn[/name_u](or [name_m]Finnley[/name_m]) but feel like I/they would be made fun of because [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]SAWYER[/name_u] and [name_m]Huck[/name_m] [name_u]FINN[/name_u]. Also any other name suggestions to go with [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] are welcome as my husband and I can not agree on anything. lol

Yes the connection is obvious but I wouldn’t make fun of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_u]Finlay[/name_u]. Others with less social skills might?

[name_m]Finnley[/name_m] would distance the connection some. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] would make it seem like the connection was intentional. And I agree with ziggy2112, I am not one to make fun of someone for their name or any connections their name might have to popular culture, literature, music, etc. Would kids make fun of them? Possibly. A lot of kids aren’t going to be terribly familiar with the characters or their corresponding novels until close to high school and the boys will be in different grades, so it’s not necessarily even a given that kids in one son’s grade will know the other son’s name anyway.

No; in fact I probably wouldn’t even notice the connection right away because I think of “[name_m]Tom[/name_m] and [name_m]Huck[/name_m]” not “[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u].”

[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] & [name_u]Finn[/name_u] are wonderful names together and perfect for brothers. To me they sound adventurous.

Thank you all for your input! It definitely makes me feel better to hear your thoughts.

I honestly have no idea about those people or the connection between the names. I think they sound perfectly handsome together.
