I actually really love those little touches/similarities, particularly because of C. B. [name_u]Lee[/name_u]’s Sidekick Squad series! The 4 main characters all have names with double letters ([name_u]Jess[/name_u], Bells, [name_u]Abby[/name_u], & [name_f]Emma[/name_f]).
I need to pick a name for my evil fairy! [name_f]My[/name_f] new project is a queer retelling of Sleeping Beauty, mostly inspired by [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] by the Grimm brothers and [name_f]Lady[/name_f] of the House of [name_u]Love[/name_u] by [name_f]Angela[/name_f] [name_u]Carter[/name_u]. In my project, the person who cursed Sleeping Beauty (I’ve called her [name_f]Hedwig[/name_f]) is a half-fae witch who was [name_f]Hedwig[/name_f]'s best friend. She’s also the great-grandmother of my POV character, [name_f]Marceline[/name_f]. I’ve got a few ideas for her name I’d like you to vote on!
So, what should I name a girl who is quiet, yet bold? She’s 16 years old, has black hair, and brown eyes. She’s the daughter of the principal, so she will have the last name Blaylock.

Thoughts on a [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] Blaylock? He’s goofy, 16 years old. Quick excerpt to describe him:
“Here’s my son, [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] Blaylock” Mrs. Blaylock said, gesturing to the boy walking in the room. He took an enormous bite of a doughnut, then waved.
“You can call me [name_m]Zach[/name_m]. Normal people call me [name_m]Zach[/name_m],” he said thoughtfully, glancing at the ceiling. “[name_f]My[/name_f] mother, however, does not believe in such nonsense that is nicknames. What’s your name?”
The nn [name_m]Zach[/name_m] is cool with his name!
No nn [name_m]Zach[/name_m]!
[name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] Blaylock is an absolutely terrible name!
Are the abilities something that were known beforehand? Like they run in the family, or the characters were named with the expectation that they would have the powers or something like them?
Fancy rich-kid prep school names?
(Note: in my search for “perfect” names, I discovered Kellogg means to kill. Who knew cereal companies could be so violent?)
