I need to finally settle on a name for one of my secondary characters! Physically she is described as being pale and rail-thin, with oddly colored hair and sleepy ‘tired’ eyes. She is often described as having a characteristically wide, unnerving smile.
Personality wise, she is considered whacky, spaced out, and just overall strange by the other characters. She doesn’t talk much, so not much is actually known about her.

Quiet, strange, whacky, spaced out, somewhat shy, mysterious and slightly unnerving. I think that just about covers it.

I’ve been using Vesper and Casper interchangeably, I figure it’s time to settle on one.

I am aware that Casper is traditionally a male name, but I love male names on females for some reason. I love the androgyny of Vesper also.

I think both work really well for her, I just can’t pick one.

Are Delta and Dante too close to be characters in the same story if they don’t ever interact?

For context

There are 3 main characters in this story and Dante is one of them. He is also the love interest for the 2nd main character. the 3rd main character (so not the one that is Dante’s love interest) has a sister that is currently named Delta. I think Delta and Dante are really similar in terms of sound/syllables, but I think it might not be too confusing just because Delta is a minor character that will only really feature in the beginning and be mentioned throughout. In other words, Dante and Delta will never cross paths and I don’t even think they’d be mentioned together at all. What do you think? Too confusing or is it fine?

  • It’s fine!
  • They’re too close

I need a name for my two main characters! They are pen-pals during a war in a dystopian land!
The first MC is 14 and grew up with a single mum, and she had to learn to defend for herself and find food for her weak mother and brother. She’s short and so skinny you can see her bones, with wispy, shoulder-length ginger hair, freckles, green eyes and very pale skin that burns easily. She’s incredibly witty and fast, and her best traits are being loyal, funny and very empathetic, however she’s also fierce, stubborn and defensive. She has many hunter friends who she hunts with (names to be confirmed) and is popular around the town.
MC2 is 15, and grew up in a rich household as an only child. Her parents weren’t very prominent as they are always out with their friends or at work, so she was left to grow up with just her nanny (unsure of the name yet). She’s tall and average weight, with frizzy black hair that looks almost a very dark blue. She has dark eyes and skin and no freckles. Her personality traits are shy, generous, kind and creative, and she has a great imagination. In her spare time she likes to write stories and sometimes paint.
So, what are your thoughts on names? If you have a preference you can reply to this and specify which name for which character, or just pick the two you like best for either character! This is much appreciated, thank you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
