I like writing that’s both simple and poetic: beautiful sentences but no purple prose. For example, I find [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] Alire Sáenz’s and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] Rothfuss’s styles very inspiring.
I’ve practiced by writing some poetry: saying much with few words. It’s really improving my prose.
I’m not sure whether this will help you too, but maybe it’s worth trying!

A thing I have found really fun was 365 (or 366 in this year) days of writing prompts. From any website, but the one I used was 365 Creative Writing Prompts - ThinkWritten.
