I’ve always been drawn to sibsets of four [name_f][/name_f]- they feel like the perfect length to really fine tune a theme or set without feeling like you’re scraping the bottom of your list for siblings. I’m pretty sure the only way I could ever get my wife to have four is if I had one, had twins, and then convinced them to have juuuust one more.

If I was naming with my wife:
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelie[/name_f] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] “Elfie” [name_f][/name_f]- This is very likely the name for our one-and-done. I love the lilting sweetness of [name_f]Ophelie[/name_f] so much, it dodges the “oh-FEEL-yuh” jokes about [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and tears her away from [name_m]Hamlet[/name_m] a bit. I love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] on a girl (may our girls be untamable) and like that it offers a legal masculine alternative for our daughter if she ever needs one. Also, we have an L surname, so the initials OWL are sweet. [name_f]My[/name_f] wife says they’d call her our little owlet.
[name_f][/name_f]
Hekati [name_f]Rain[/name_f] and [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] “Hera and Svea” [name_f][/name_f]- I love [name_f]Hekate[/name_f] and it is my wife’s favourite name, but only with the i spelling. I love [name_f]Rain[/name_f], the cleansing of it and nickname [name_f]Hera[/name_f] is so powerful and underrated. [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] means mermaid (swoon!) and violets were a symbol of sapphic love in Victorian times, so a very subtle nod to her lesbian moms. [name_m]Kit[/name_m] and [name_m]Rei[/name_m] also work as alternate masc nicknames.
[name_f][/name_f]
Kiriona [name_f]Scout[/name_f] “Kiska” [name_f][/name_f]- The Maori form of [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] and a name from the Locked Tomb Trilogy, I just fell in love with Kiriona the second I saw it. [name_f]Scout[/name_f] is a fun old favourite, and the nickname is a volcanic Alaskan island, which is powerful and awesome.
[name_f][/name_f]
If I were all by myself (right now, I am fickle):
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Tesni[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- Word names are an old love and short sweet Welsh names are a new crush of mine. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] means rainbow (another subtle gay floral!) and [name_f]Tesni[/name_f] means “warmth from the sun”. So the full name evokes a summer storm or the warmth of the sun after rain.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Fable[/name_f] [name_m]Eilir[/name_m] and [name_f]Evening[/name_f] [name_f]Mabli[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I love [name_f]Fable[/name_f] and [name_f]Evening[/name_f] as a twinset, so whimsical. [name_m]Eilir[/name_m] means butterfly and [name_f]Mabli[/name_f] means loveable, so both middles are sweet nods to my little one’s beauty. Would be tempted to call these two [name_f]Elfie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Tegan[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I love how [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is signed in [name_f]British[/name_f] Sign Language and it has completely reignited my love of this name.Tegan means “beautiful/darling/favourite” and I love that.
