I don’t like the name [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] in the first place so I was pretty bummed about their name choice. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] was not ideal either but I would’ve prefered it. That said, if it wasn’t such a popular boys name I think [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] could pass off, at least phonetically, as a girls name (think Wyette).
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] on a girl is horrible. Adding [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] spelled like this makes the name sound and look even worse. I would be much more happy if they had another [name_f]Ava[/name_f] or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
P.S. To be honest, I was expecting something like this from them so I am not surprised.
I’m so confused. This is one of the worst celebrity baby names imo. I guess I’m disappointed because I had expectations, I really did expect them to choose a nice eastern European name that is somewhat unknown in the west.
(Why, it is a bell! Cute shirt!)this name sounds like a sentence to me.
The poor child is going to get called “he” for the rest of her life.
THIS!! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!
Nooooo! I suppose [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] now will be categorized as unisex, along with [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. not a fan.
I’m really not a fan of boy’s names going to girls. I get that some names are more ‘unisex’ than others (although this is not my taste either), but I realllllllly don’t like when distinctly boy’s names are used for girls.
Like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m].
Or [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_f]JESSICA[/name_f] [name_m]SIMPSON[/name_m].
Has anyone considered that this may not actually be the baby’s name? I know that they were the ones who announced it, but they also posted several pictures of babies that were all different and asked for privacy. I mean, this is the guy who created Punk’d… Anyway, I think they are just messing with everyone, I don’t think they actually named her [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] at all.
Agreeing with pp. They might be pranking us. But if they’re not, I don’t think [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is that bad. It could be much, much worse.
No just no. I don’t mean to be rude, but you wouldn’t name a boy [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Michael[/name_u], would you? It sounds ridiculous. It is an extremely sexist trend which I absolutely detest. I don’t think that adding a feminine middle helps at all, no matter what people might think, it just seems mismatched and hardly anyone gets introduced by their middle name anyway.
I feel the same. Think about how hard it is to navigate the professional world with a masculine name and you are a women. [name_m]How[/name_m] do call up a potential employee for hire? " Hello, may I please speak with the Mr.- or the Mrs.- or Ms.- or Miss [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] I. Kutcher?" That is a mouthful to say and to now have to consider that proper formal business etiquette for addressing someone whom the sex gender is unidentified while trying to stay with in the guidelines so that you won’t be caught in some law suite because you didn’t handle it properly .
Think about it… Would you be concerned about the reliability of a company who tells you that your accountant whom you will be working with is [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], and then you meet with a women instead? I personally would be seriously concerned if the company knows who they have hired… So much confusion can happen…
The ‘I’ as an initial isn’t an indication for sex… it could be [name_m]Ishmael[/name_m] or [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. You would have to spell out your middle name to help “clarify” and that might get annoying… The only factor that is going for [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] Kutcher, is that her parents are famous, they have money, and the real world won’t have to apply for her. But where does that leaves us who have to navigate the “real” world and deal with everyday mothers’ who follow [name_f]Mila[/name_f]'s and Other hollywood mother’s example, and do claim known masculine names and place them into the “unisex” territory? It seems to have large ramifications that extend everywhere.
Personally, these are a fear concerns that cross my mind…
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is such an ugly name, I was really disappointed with their choice.
I like it [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] sound nice together.
It just sounds like they’re trying too hard to be edgy, but I’m sorry guys; this trend is old already.
I don’t really like the name [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] but I really like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f].
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m], [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] and now [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]! maybe they can form a support group when they get older. For all the money, looks etc the kids inherit I don’t envy their parents choice of names.
