Xander vs Zander?

Hey berries just looking for some opinions. Recently I have been loving the name [name]Zander[/name], however I know this isn’t the traditional spelling, which is [name]Xander[/name] (as in [name]Alexander[/name]). However I don’t love [name]Alexander[/name] so I would only use the name [name]Zander[/name] on its own, not as a nickname.

My question is this do you think spelling the name [name]Zander[/name] will be more confusing for people or will it make it more logical for people? For me I feel [name]Zander[/name] will be pronounced correctly more often because it is more family that the X letter. Or maybe it is just me. I would really just like to know other people’s thoughts on the two and which looks better, will be pronounced correctly more often, etc…

I love the name [name]Zander[/name] and I prefer it spelled as [name]Zander[/name]. Either is fine though.

While I prefer the [name]Xander[/name] spelling, I have a feeling that the [name]Zander[/name] spelling wouldn’t have as many pronunciation issues as [name]Xander[/name] (some people pronounce the X like an X not a Z).

I vote for [name]Zander[/name]. Seems more open to me. The X kind of stops the name before it gets started. Plus Z is worth more in scrabble.

[name]Xander[/name]. It is on my long list. I don’t think it would cause confusion because most people are familiar with [name]Alexander[/name]. I actually think he would have to correct people more often on how to spell it if you go with [name]Zander[/name]…it’s [name]Zander[/name] with a Z not an X.

I know a couple of Xanders, and have never known there to be pronounciation issues. I think most people would make the connection that it is a form of [name]Alexander[/name].
To me [name]Zander[/name] looks tacky and made up, whereas [name]Xander[/name] looks just to be a short form or variation of [name]Alexander[/name].
I think [name]Xander[/name] is a great name btw!

I don’t like [name]Zander[/name] and I’ve never heard of pronunciation issues with [name]Xander[/name]. Everybody knows that [name]Xander[/name] comes from [name]Alexander[/name], so [name]Zander[/name] may get misspelled

I prefer [name]Xander[/name], but the small handful of Xanders and Zanders at the huge school I work with never have pronunciation issues.

I prefer the look of [name]Xander[/name] but I don’t think [name]Zander[/name] will be a problem.

Should really be [name]Xander[/name] I think I can’t see pronunciation issue
