Yay or Nay: Dorothea and Theodore

Hi guys, at the top of both my boy and girl list for names that I would actually use are Theodore and Dorothea but do you think they look to much a like to be siblings?
The spellings used would be Teodoro and Doroteia because those are the most recognizable where I live and the Doro and Te part of the names repeats but when you say it out loud the pronouncistions are different for each sound in the names

Because they have the same meaning and are basically “flipped” versions of each other - I wouldn’t do it. I think they sound similar enough that it could get confusing, but not as confusing as Jane and Rain so if you’re really loving them you should keep them as a consideration.

I wouldn’t do it :grimacing: it’s like naming one kid [name_f]Orli[/name_f] and one [name_u]Lior[/name_u], same meaning/origin basically just flipped.

[name_f]Dot[/name_f] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]

[name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_m]Ted[/name_m]

They’re too close for my taste. As others have said, they have the same meaning and the same sounds.

I wouldn’t use them together… they’re kind of the same name but different genders to me!

Very similar! So Id say no.

Too similar for me, sorry
