Your favorite Maple combo?

axps123: Thanks for the input! I like obvious noun/nature names though. I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] would flow the best with [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] too.

hanbow: [name_f]Maple[/name_f] Menorah is lovely! [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] are my favorites too. Thanks for your input about [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]! I’m still going back and forth about [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] though. I love the magical, mystical, princess-y, nature-y, celestial vibe I get from [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and I love it’s meaning “dawn”. I love the magical, nature-y, sparkly, frosty, crisp, snowy vibe I get from [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. And I love them both with the nature-y [name_f]Maple[/name_f]! They would both sound nice with my last name, but [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] would sound a little better. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] does seem like it would be the better choice, but like I said, I hate the idea of having one without the other!

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Allegra[/name_f]

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] is very pretty, but all I can think of is the allergy medicine. I’ve never met anyone named [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] so the medicine is my only association.

Aw I know it’s hard to narrow down names that you love! I do think that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] sounds the best in general and it is a shame to miss [name_u]Winter[/name_u] out of the name but I can’t really see a way around that. Besides, you won’t call her by her middle name very much so she’ll be little [name_f]Maple[/name_f] anyway! I love both of the names so I can see your dilemma entirely. Good luck! Keep me posted!

Sorry I just noticed this! The reception to [name_f]Maple[/name_f] has been great and a lot easier than I thought it would be. I literally get NO [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] misunderstandings and apparently is what more common back in the early 1900’s. Quite a few people have said “oh, that’s my Grandmother’s name” (and I always make sure they heard correctly) so it doesn’t feel like a made up name like I worried it would. It actually doesn’t get an abnormal amount of attention, which I like. Nobody looks up when her name is called at the Dr’s office and people either remark they love it or they stay quiet, but I don’t get much “oh how strange, like the syrup?” or “how did you come up with that!”. So it’s been a perfect unusual name that isn’t too weird. I love it!

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] is only 21 months and calls herself Moo Moo so the jury is out on what she thinks!

I like [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] the best. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] is beautiful.

I don’t really like [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] together because I associate maple with red, so it just conjures up imagery of two bright colours (but maybe I’m strange). [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] sounds beautiful, but maybe because I’m Canadian and maple trees and winter are kind of what we’re known for, the name makes me think of a commercial for tourism in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] or [name_m]Vermont[/name_m]… or a scented candle.

flashy09/maggiefromcanada: thank you both!
