Your thoughts on Elsie Mae?

We’re thinking of naming our daughter, due in [name]June[/name], [name]Elsie[/name] [name]Mae[/name]. What does everyone think of the name?

I really like it! [name]Elsie[/name] [name]May[/name] is beautiful, simple, yet a little bit sassy!

[name]Elsie[/name] [name]May[/name] is a gorgeous name!

[name]Love[/name] it! It’s beautiful!!

[name]Elsie[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is lovely! It sounds sweet and spunky. I love the name [name]Elsie[/name].

I love it! My great Aunt was named [name]Elsie[/name] [name]May[/name], and I would use both names in a heartbeat.

I will be the odd one out and say that it is cute, but it may be too cute for my liking. I do get a fresh-off-the-farm vibe from it, too. But [name]Elsie[/name] has always felt quite cutesy and country to me…kind of like [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Maisie[/name] and [name]Clarabelle[/name]. They aren’t bad names at all, that is just the vibe I get from [name]Elsie[/name], especially [name]Elsie[/name] [name]Mae[/name].

[name]Elsie[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is absolutely precious!! I love it and would use it myself in a heartbeat! I don’t think it sounds too “country” or whatever. Especially once people see it on your cute little daughter, no one will associate the name with that.

As someone of a certain age, [name]Elsie[/name] will always be “[name]Elsie[/name] the cow” to me.

Adorable for a child, an old lady, or a sweet, carefree person; hard to picture on a professional or more sophisticated woman. I think I’d rather be [name]Elsa[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name] on the birth certificate and decide which form would suit me better.

[name]Beverly[/name] Hillbillies anyone? Maybe that reference is a little dated these days… [name]Elsie[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is very cute, but it treads way to close to [name]Ellie[/name] [name]May[/name] for my liking (which obviously SCREAMS hillbilly.)

[name]Love[/name] it, love it! So sweet.
