I’m considering to name my little girl [name_u]Mika[/name_u] (pronounced [name_f]Meeka[/name_f]) or [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] with nn [name_u]Mika[/name_u]. [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] is another option.
What do you think of the name [name_u]Mika[/name_u] and what comes to your mind when you hear [name_u]Mika[/name_u]?
I know a [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] with the nn, but I prefer [name_u]Mika[/name_u] on its own or as a short form of Amika. I picture an energetic little girl running around a playground with a large smile on her face.
I like [name_u]Mika[/name_u] or Amika, but not [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f]. I agree that many people will think it’s pronounced My-kuh, but that’s a risk you’ll have to take and correct them.
Very cute! I don’t see pronounciation problems… my-kuh would be spelled [name_f]Myka[/name_f], [name_u]Micah[/name_u] more commonly. [name_u]Mika[/name_u] is similar to [name_f]Mila[/name_f] both pronounced me-__
I think it’s cute as a nickname, and like it with the full name [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] gives her more options as an adult.
Why don’t you just use [name_f]Meeka[/name_f]?
[name_u]Mika[/name_u] is My-Ka.
[name_u]Mika[/name_u] looks like you wanted [name_u]Mica[/name_u] as in large crystals of mica…
I think Myken is adorable.
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_u]Makenzie[/name_u], [name_f]Makenna[/name_f]…just so overused right now.
[name_u]Mika[/name_u] [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] [name_f]Leonia[/name_f] Brzezinski is an American television host, author and political commentator. Brzezinski co-hosts MSNBC’s weekday morning broadcast [name_f]Morning[/name_f] [name_m]Joe[/name_m] with former Republican representative [name_m]Joe[/name_m] Scarborough.
I love [name_u]Mika[/name_u]! We had it on our list when we were naming our daughter. I think the pronunciation is very straight forward and I’m not really sure why anyone would pronounce it my-ka.
I think of [name_m]LeVar[/name_m] [name_m]Burton[/name_m]'s daughter, but she uses a “c” instead of a “k” ([name_u]Mica[/name_u]). I think its really cute too!
I love [name_u]Mika[/name_u] as a stand-alone name. My first thought is the male pop singer [name_u]Mika[/name_u], but I think it’s a great name for a girl.
[name_u]Mika[/name_u] is cute, I think both [name_u]Mika[/name_u] and [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] nn [name_u]Mika[/name_u] work as stand alone names. The way you pronounce it way the way I pronounced it before seeing your pronunciation. I prefer both [name_u]Mika[/name_u] and [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] to [name_f]Michelle[/name_f]. I think of gthe singer [name_u]Mika[/name_u] when I hear this name.
