My faves are, in order:
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]

I adore [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. My second choice would be [name_f]Coraline[/name_f], although I personally prefer [name_f]Coralie[/name_f].

I generally like all the names on your list. But I voted [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] as I think it’s a lovely classic and not used very much. [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] would be second as I love [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] or [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] as nns.

My favorites are:

[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]

Oh my gosh I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] so many of these names! They all are vintage in a tasteful, interesting way. Many of them are on my list, too. I was deciding between [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] for the top spot, but I ultimately went for [name_f]Iris[/name_f] because I think it meshes slightly better with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] - [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] is one of my favorites, but it is ultra-feminine and right on the edge of too sweet. Here’s my picks:

  1. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] - simple and elegant, and love both the flower and Greek mythology/rainbow association
  2. [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] - beautiful and forgotten, complex and sugary; the nickname “[name_f]Mira[/name_f]” is much more mundane
  3. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - definitely the best timeless classic; so many nickname possibilities for her to choose from!
  4. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - a more down-to-earth and powerful version of [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f], and the [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] [name_f]Tempest[/name_f] association is nice
  5. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - lovely and simple and green, but more modern than any of your other choices

[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] has always just sounded like an altered [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] to me (and I feel like [name_f]Cora[/name_f], while lovely, is skyrocketing in popularity), [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is impractical and too over-the-top fairy-tale to me, and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is pretty but not as exciting. [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] I like for the nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], but I dislike [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Frida[/name_f] and it still has that slightly dowdy feel to me.

Excellent taste!

I like most of your names.

I selected [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] it is beautiful, not to popular.

My daughter’s middle name is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] which I love. But it was too popular for a first name for me. I’m sure you have members of your family which are honored by it.

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is another name I really like.

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] I also love.

My last favorite would be [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]. It may be because I have a friend we call [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. It is a friendly and Winning name!

I love [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] - please go with this, just for me (lol).

It was really tough to vote on this great list. No wonder you feel stuck with too many options. My favorites are:

Almost tied for 1st place, I would consider all of these:
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - underused, unpretentous, uncommon/distinct syllables, beautiful imagery and meaning
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - completely adoreable, yet respectable and will age well; cheerful; underused (albeit, that may be less so than in the past)
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - rich, strong, feminine, pretty
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - beautiful classic

With [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] (gorgeous), I am leaning towards:
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] or [name_f]Iris[/name_f].

You have so many beautiful names I understand why you are having a hard time choosing!

I love:
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] ('cause it’s my daughters name)
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] (but I’d nn her [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] or [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], although [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is a lovely option)
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]

I personally wouldn’t choose [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] (although I like just [name_f]Mira[/name_f]) or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] (I know too many).

My top 5:

[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is my absolute favorite name on your list and I think it matches with your sibset stylistically. But my only concern is that its letters come straight from [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. In an overly analytical sense, you/she/whoever-notices-this might always feel like little [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] got the short end of the stick. If it doesn’t bother you, then that’s what I think you should go for.

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabel[/name_f]

Iris is my favorite. I think Miranda goes great with Sylvia and Theodore. Juliet is good too, and Mirabel is nice. I didn’t really have a 5th. I do love the name Ivy, but because you have a Sylvia, I wouldn’t use Ivy. Hazel would be a great name though! Good luck!

My top 5 from your list…in order…
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] “[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]”

I’m not really concerned about jealousy but I do wonder if [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] isn’t too similar to [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. I keep finding myself drawn to names with a v in them and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] shares all the same letters with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] but somehow it still feels and sounds different to me. That’s my biggest reservation with it…but it’s my second choice pick currently.
