Thought it might be interesting to hear your top ten friends and then a fictional list of names you would prefer. Here are mine:

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] list. I especially love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_u]Laurel[/name_u], and [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f].

[name_u]Aria[/name_u] - keeping it
[name_u]Jay[/name_u] - I would rename [name_u]Joseph[/name_u]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - would rename [name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilibeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - I think she would be better with [name_f]Estella[/name_f] or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u] - I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] for her
[name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] - perfect, keeping it
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] - would go with [name_m]Paul[/name_m] instead
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m] - would rename [name_u]Cal[/name_u], it just fits better

  2. Le.n (I’d keep it, maybe [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] ‘Len’?)
  3. Gabrie1 (I’d keep, but something bold like [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] or [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] would work)
  4. I.vy (suits very well, but also, [name_u]Harley[/name_u] or [name_u]Arielle[/name_u] might work too)
  5. Da.na (suits perfectly, but maybe [name_f]Nura[/name_f] too)
  6. N@talie (suits well, but maybe Claire)
  7. Ab.g!na (maybe [name_f]Khalila[/name_f] (Kallie))

Let’s see…

A lot of my friends have similar names, so I’m going to try to get creative, and will rename them based on vibes!!

  1. Sara.h - Would rename [name_f]Thaïs[/name_f] because she has such a spunky vibe and is super cool!!

  2. Emm.a - Not too creative, but would go with [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (EM-uh-leen pn)! She is very posh and fun, so I think this would suit her well

  3. Ell.a - I would rename her [name_f]Leona[/name_f]! She is wild, crazy, and loud, but also so much fun and SO smart

  4. Ell.e - I would rename her [name_u]Juno[/name_u], she has such a chill relaxed vibe but truly cares so deeply and is so loyal!

  5. M.addalen.a - She would have to be [name_f]Emmylou[/name_f]! She is truly the sweetest and is a country girl at heart, but is just so fun and has the sweetest laugh

  6. Ma.r - Again not too creative, but she’d make the best [name_f]Maren[/name_f]! Also very laid back, but very fierce and strong when it comes down to it

  7. Eny.a - She would make a killer [name_u]August[/name_u]! Definitely one of my coolest friends, has the best taste in art, music, and could honestly talk to her for hours

  8. Sofi.a - She would be a fantastic [name_f]Viola[/name_f]! Always silly and makes me feel so close to her even when we live miles and miles apart

  9. Mc.Kenn.a - Definitely [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]! She is very pretty and classic, and never fails to cheer me up with a [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] [name_m]Swift[/name_m] song or a funny story

  10. Rees.e - She would make a great [name_f]Freya[/name_f]! So powerful and strong, but also so kind and always makes you feel welcome in any situation

I thought it was fun to think about what I’d rename all of them!

[name_u]Lauren[/name_u] - [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] (much less common than her given name, more unisex, surname vibe)
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] (long and frilly like her name, but mythological)
[name_f]Katie[/name_f] - [name_u]Adley[/name_u] (same bouncy feel but more unisex and uncommon)
[name_u]Jay[/name_u] - [name_m]Kane[/name_m] (he’s got an outdoorsy, cowboy vibe, plus loves country music)
[name_f]Liz[/name_f] - [name_f]Willa[/name_f] (booksy, vintage, and easy-going)
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] - [name_u]Amal[/name_u] (simultaneously fun and classy)
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (a bit softer and sounds great with a southern accent)
[name_m]Al[/name_m] - [name_u]Finn[/name_u] (maybe [name_m]Fynn[/name_m] or [name_u]Fen[/name_u], something that feels appropriate in our world and a fantasy one)

[name_f]Amy[/name_f] → [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] or [name_f]Zosia[/name_f] (a bit more European chic, and she’s so smart hence the wisdom meaning)
[name_f]Roseanne[/name_f] → either another [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or something vintage and sweet, maybe [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] or [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]
[name_f]Tia[/name_f] → [name_f]Deryn[/name_f] (bird meaning for a lover of all things flight related)
[name_f]Essie[/name_f] → [name_f]Parthenope[/name_f] (she could pull off something maximalist)
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] → [name_u]Lark[/name_u] (something much more offbeat! She loves nature so I was thinking a word name, and she sings!)
[name_m]Ben[/name_m] → [name_m]Isidore[/name_m] (something gothic, or I can also see him sticking with [name_m]Ben[/name_m], but making it [name_m]Benvolio[/name_m] rather than Benjamin)
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] → [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] (crying out for a granny chic name)
[name_f]Helen[/name_f] → [name_f]Hildegarde[/name_f] (again, a big personality which needs a bigger name!)

sophia ‘soph’ → evie (she’s so fun, outgoing and bubbly, i think she’d suit a short, snappy -ie ending)

nyssa → cassiopeia (she’s into mythology and history, i could see her with a longer and more elaborate name but equally going by cassie)

peyton → alexandra (can’t imagine her as anything but peyton, but i think she would pull off alex or lexi well)

hunter → ashton or rhett (i actually think he suits his name super well but these would kind of fit?)

sophia ‘soph’ (different one) → sophie (the vibes of sophia fit well but i like the slightly softer sophie for her)

stephanie ‘steph’ → delphine (she’s so dedicated and that’s the vibes i get from delphine, also a french name would totally suit her)

jasleen → delaney (fits her out-there extroverted personality and i like the fun nickname options of del/della and laney for her)

dana → annukka (we used to have a joke about how much she looked like anne frank so an ann- name would definitely suit + i like annukka’s bouncy, slightly left-of-field vibe)

charli → summer (she’s fun and sunshiney and can genuinely make me laugh, summer just encapsulates her vibe so well)

eliza → finlay or darcy (would suit something short and unisex that packs a punch)
