I really like the name Zaccheas, and I love the Bible story, but I’m not crazy about the nn [name_m]Zach[/name_m]. However I love the nn [name_m]Zeke[/name_m], I’m just don’t like [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] as much as I like Zaccheaus. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think Zaccheaus nn [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] would work?
I think [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] is perfectly usable for this name, and it’s also a much better name than [name_m]Zack[/name_m]. You’re like me, I love the name [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] but hate the nn [name_m]Zack[/name_m] (sounds like sack too me). That’s why I would only use [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] in the middle spot, because I know as a first name it would always be shortened to [name_m]Zack[/name_m]!
I think the long E sound in [name_m]Zaccheus[/name_m] lends itself perfectly to the nn [name_m]Zeke[/name_m]!
I think it’s perfect! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. (Except I do automatically start singing the Bible School song…[name_m]Zacchaeus[/name_m] was a wee little man, and a wee little man was he…)
I immediately thought this! [name_m]Zaccheus[/name_m] nn [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] totally makes sense to me!
Yes absolutely. Great Bible story and would make a fantastic name for a little boy!
Thanks! With the long e sound I thought it would work, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy and get a few more opinions
I would just use [name_m]Zeke[/name_m]. I love the [name_m]Zaccheus[/name_m] story as well, but all I think is the song “[name_m]Zaccheus[/name_m] was a wee little man and a wee little man was he…” Oh the teasing possibilities there…
I really like it. I don’t personally think it has much teasing potential. I do wonder if his friends will go ahead and call him [name_m]Zach[/name_m] anyways though.
