We are having a baby girl, and the ONLY name my husband likes so far is [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]. I think it’s a pretty name. Not my favorite, but I could go for it. EXCEPT that I can’t stand the nicknames [name_u]Alex[/name_u] or [name_u]Lexi[/name_u], and this name is just too long not to have a nickname.
I kind of like [name_f]Zara[/name_f], and was thinking it would make sense as a nickname for [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]. Is that stretching too far? [name_f]Xandra[/name_f] could maybe work too. . . . ?
Also suggestions for another name my husband may like? He likes names somewhere in the middle of classic and exotic, and is very picky.
I like [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. It’s definitely not an intuitive nn for [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]. I agree that [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] needs a nn because it’s so long. You could do [name_f]Zara[/name_f] but you’ll definitely have to introduce her as that otherwise people will use [name_u]Alex[/name_u].
