[name_m]Hi[/name_m], me again wanting to talk about [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] again haha not currently expecting, just playing with ideas
What are your thoughts on these combos just based off the names themselves? What about after reading the significance of each name? Any general feedback is appreciated
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - This combo doesn’t honor anyone, we just love it. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] has a beautiful meaning and is the name of a moon which would subtly connect her name to big sister’s name which is fun. I also like that it starts with M just like big sister’s middle name as well; just another fun little connection. I’m a bit hesitant to use my 2 favorite names at once though in case another daughter ever came along
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] - This would honor both grandmas since they were both born in [name_u]October[/name_u] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is October’s birth flower. It would give both girls a shared middle initial as noted above regarding [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]. I’m not sure if [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is really my style but I think it’s growing on me especially because it could honor both grandmas. I’m a nicknamer so I love the idea of playfully calling her ZoGo (not as a formal nickname to introduce her to others; more of a silly pet name)
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - honors both grandmas as both their middle names are [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is the Scottish version of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (and a nod to my Scottish heritage). Not sure if I really like this name though more than just the fact that it’s a fun way to honor both grandmas. I’m trying to like it more.
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] - one grandma loves gardening, the other grandma’s favorite color is purple (which is heavily associate with her amongst family) so [name_f]Violet[/name_f] encapsulates both attributes. This combo feels very sparky to me because of the Z and V sounds; not sure if I want something a little more grounded to anchor [name_u]Zoe[/name_u]. Similar to the idea of ZoGo listed above- love the fun informal nickname ideas of ZeeVee or Zovie
Without reading the significance:
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - bright and lovely, it feels like a vibrant and colourful name
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] - pretty sweet and charming
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - I love the sounds and I love the spelling, but I’m not sure I love how this looks (not a huge deal probably)
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] - sharp but sweet, dark and starry
After reading the significance:
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - I like the subtle connections to her sister and that you love it. I think you have to decide whether [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] would definitely be on your future first name list and if you’d regret not using it if you didn’t have a 3rd daughter
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] - I like the way it honours, but in a creative way. ZoGo is cute too (or maybe Ziggy!)
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - give it time, but if you’re not loving it, might not be the one
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] - I like this way of honouring!! This is a name that feels serious but fun and bright too! Zovie is very sweet

I like the flow of Zoë Miranda best and I like the idea above of Zovie for Zoe Violet. I wonder if you could do another version of Elizabeth, like Zoë Elspeth or Zoë Elise?

[name_u]Love[/name_u] your suggestion of [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] for [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]! We have [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] as a nickname options for some of our boy names too so it’s definitely a name we dig!
Also 100% agree with your description of [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] Miranda; I get the same vibrant vibes from it as well

Without reading the descriptions [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] was my favourite, then [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]. I actually used to have [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] on my list beacuase of the “zoh” sound, and I can’t get that out of my head so that would be my least favourite choice for that reason.

After reading the descriptions:

[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]: I adore the idea of middles connecting siblings! Would this put you in a box for potential future siblings with regards to matching middles? [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] combined meaning with [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] too!
-
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]: Again, love the sibling matching thing. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] name and a lovely very subtle way to honour family members. Has a bright and jovial feel.
-
[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]: You sound least enthused about this option which is a shame when there are an array of ways to honour Elizabeths! Some other options could be [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Zabel[/name_f], [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Lisette[/name_f], [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Liliane[/name_f], [name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Bethan[/name_f] (more in the link below).

[name_u]Zoe[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]: Another lovely subtle honour option! I would say [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is grounded especially compared to [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], it’s the same lovely contast of modern and vintage but both names are familiar, it feels summer-y and bright but not overly whimsical if it is grounded-ness you’re looking for. The nickname Zovie is brill too!
.
Overall I think: [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] > Violet/Marigold (I can’t choose!) > [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
All beautiful options though, you can’t go wrong
