I’m back! I posted in May and you all were SO helpful, but now at 38 weeks, I need to make a decision!

I have 3 boys that all go by their middles… First name is a family classic and middle is more fun with maybe a nickname.

J@mes [Collier]
Willi@m [Fitzgerald]
Ch@rles [Shepherd]

They go by
“Collier, Fitz & Shep"

Please vote for your fav sib name from the poll (can choose more than one and feel free to leave feedback in the comments!

[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and [name_m]Locke[/name_m] are very cool! [name_f]Love[/name_f] both of those

I agree, Pierce/Piers or Locke (probably Locke the most!). I like Harvey & Bridger too.

George Townes reminds me of Georgetown, and I’m not as keen on it. And for me, Wilder is too thematic right after Shepherd, and changes the vibe. It does flow though & it’s a cool name, friendlier than Pierce/Piers.

Either way, I would choose George as the first. John is too close to James, I think. Brooks could also work - George Brooks.

I LOVE your style! I think [name_m]Townes[/name_m] and [name_m]Piers[/name_m] go best. [name_m]Pierce[/name_m] is one of those names where either can be preppy/polished or not so much, hence [name_m]Piers[/name_m] spelling suggestion.

Thank you!!

These are all so lovely, but I voted [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Bridger[/name_m]! I’m a big [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] fan. Also really love [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Townes[/name_m] with your other sons.

Good luck!

It was a really tough choice, [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Pierce[/name_m] and [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] are my favorites for you!! Your boys’ names are great but slightly more unique I think than [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] which I’ve heard/seen quite a few times now. Though I do think stylistically it would still be a good fit.

Thanks for this feedback! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband also heard “Georgetown”, which was a bummer to me! I think we’d only say his full name when he was in trouble, so not sure how much this bothers me, but considered [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Townsend[/name_m] just to get farther from that connection!

Thanks for this! Curious where you live that you’ve heard Wilder!? I know it’s much more common some places than others and I’ve not met one personally (though I do see it mentioned on threads more now)!

I have only seen it used as a first online, like threads and birth announcements, but in person I’ve heard three mothers call their kid’s full name with [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] as the middle. I was surprised myself, I didn’t think it was that popular but it seems to have caught on where I live- I’m from the midwest in a suburban area

That’s helpful, thanks!! It hasn’t made it this far south yet, but it seems unexpected names have now become common names

Thanks for the feedback! I love [name_m]Locke[/name_m], too, but our last name starts with a hard C sound, kind of like Conwell, so I’m not sure how much it bothers me that the sounds run together when his full name will be said together!

I was torn between [name_m]Locke[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] would balance out the sibling set a little better , as 2 brothers have short 1 syllable nicknames, then 2 brothers would have 2 syllable ends in ‘r’ names that aren’t nicknamed.

Thanks for the feedback! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you know anyone with this name? Trying to gauge popularity in the US!

[name_m]Pierce[/name_m] or [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] fits the best in your sibset IMO! Extra points go to [name_m]Pierce[/name_m] for having a different ending sound and a little less trendy if that’s important to you at all.

Is there another first you could use - eg [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Townes[/name_m] or another family name, ideally with a regal feel - eg [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Townes[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Townes[/name_m] or [name_m]Philip[/name_m] [name_m]Townes[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Locke[/name_m].
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is cute… I wouldn’t be brave enough to name a 4th boy that in case he really embodies his name  (from a 3 boy mom, haha!)
Good luck!!

Only the 3 boy moms really understand the risk you take when you use that on your 4th boy, so I appreciate this insight:joy::face_with_peeking_eye:
