Heya,

I just said to my husband, imagine if we had a son, how about the boys’ name…and nothing came out. Boys’ names don’t stick for me, so thought would get some inspo via a game. If you’re up for it:

  1. A boy name that reminds you of where /when you grew up
  2. The fanciest / frilliest boy name you would actually use
  3. The simplest, most basic or stripped back boy name you would actually use
  4. A boy name that gives you wintertime imagery
  5. Your newest boy name love - or at least intrigue
  6. You favourite W boy name
  7. A name that evokes genuine good guy, decent fellow imagery
  8. A boy name from your extended family or ancestry that you like
  9. A boy name that you think would suit you if you were a boy (or would otherwise suit you if you already have a boys’ name)
  10. The name for a boy who is the cheekiest chappy, life of the party type!

I love a name game!

  1. Fen or Fenn, I can’t decide which spelling I prefer.

  2. Nikolai, if it was culturally appropriate for the child. (I’m not Russian but I’m single, so I give myself creative licence because a partner could bring any ethnicity, right?) I appreciate that Nikolai is a totally down to earth name for Russians!

  3. Arlo. A few contenders here, as that’s my style with names I’d actually use.

  4. I love Winter itself as a boy name. Other than this literal choice, Andri.

  5. Nels :heart:

  6. Willow.

  7. Alexander.

  8. Shepherd, as a first and middle, Henry Shepherd.

  9. Sam.

  10. Loki!

I really like your three A names, and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] is very cool, though I am attached to [name_m]Westley[/name_m] because of The [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Bride[/name_f]. :laughing:

I really like Fenn/Fen, it reminds me of my current Fyfe/Fife crush but Fenn might be more usable. And I really like Neils - close to Nels. Andri is intruguing…

…and of course, Loki! :fish::snake::racehorse: (my friend called her son Loki, he’s about 5 now).

[name_m]Silver[/name_m] would be such a good one! I know a young girl with that name. [name_m]Logan[/name_m] & [name_m]Ryan[/name_m] sound like a cracking pair!

[name_m]Aneurin[/name_m] is handsome! (Had to look up pronunciation). So are [name_m]Robin[/name_m] & [name_m]Toby[/name_m]. Your family member has/had a happy making name!
