[name_m]Reid[/name_m], [name_m]Lane[/name_m], [name_m]Dean[/name_m], & [name_m]Clark[/name_m] (:
[name_m]Remy[/name_m], [name_m]Ivo[/name_m], [name_m]Laurence[/name_m], & [name_m]Elias[/name_m]
I have no solidified sets that are just boys, so I’m actually pulling my favourite combos from two different sets for this.
[name_m]Corbin[/name_m] [name_m]Stone[/name_m] [name_m]Mercer[/name_m]
[name_m]Corbin[/name_m] is just a favourite of mine, and I love the nickname Core. [name_m]Stone[/name_m] is an honour for a very important person in my life. [name_m]Mercer[/name_m] is also just one I love, but I’ve loved it since the beginning of my naming days, so it feels special to me.
[name_m]Florian[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_m]Revere[/name_m]
[name_m]Florian[/name_m] is a favourite, especially with the nickname [name_f]Flick[/name_f]. [name_m]Cole[/name_m] is another honour for another very important person to me. [name_m]Revere[/name_m] is honestly just for fun, I think he’s super sleek and charming.
[name_m]Frazier[/name_m] [name_m]Theoden[/name_m] Evitt
[name_m]Frazier[/name_m] is actually the honour in this combo, it’s the surname of a beloved and deceased family member. [name_m]Theoden[/name_m] is really just because unlike it, as is Evitt. I love the nickname [name_m]Fray[/name_m] for this one
[name_m]Oleander[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Lowen[/name_m]
[name_m]Oleander[/name_m] is again, just because I love him, I love the nickname [name_m]Olly[/name_m]. [name_m]Silas[/name_m] is honestly just because I thought it sounded good, but I do like the religious connection. [name_m]Lowen[/name_m] is also, just because I like it.
I know you didn’t ask, but I want to share what I’d name a sister for this set, feel free to ignore it if you’re not interested.
[name_f]Mavis[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]
[name_f]Mavis[/name_f] again, I just love, but [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] nickname [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is so sweet. [name_f]Briar[/name_f] I was honestly surprised to love, but I do. [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] is one I’ve been trying to find a home for forever, I think I finally did.
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Fable[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] has recently really been growing on me. [name_f]Fable[/name_f] is one that I’m on and off about, but I think this may be the combo for her. [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] is both a nod to my love of [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], and my barely [name_m]French[/name_m] background. I love the nickname [name_f]Rosie[/name_f].
on a whim, my boys would be…
[name_f]Lennon[/name_f] [name_f]Merritt[/name_f]
[name_m]Harbor[/name_m] [name_m]Jorah[/name_m]
[name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] [name_m]Keeper[/name_m]
[name_m]Abbott[/name_m] Corder
I think today it would be:
[name_m]Paris[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]: Longtime favorite combo.
[name_m]Judson[/name_m] Thomas:Love the nickname [name_m]Jud[/name_m]. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] after my father.
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m]: Longtime fan of [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] & [name_m]Michael[/name_m], but don’t like nickname [name_m]Mike[/name_m] hence its place as a middle name.
[name_f]Addison[/name_f] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]: Have to have an A name. Always loved [name_f]Addy[/name_f]. [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] makes it an older combo favorite of mine, but it just sounds nice.
[name_m]Marcel[/name_m] [name_f]Vivian[/name_f]
[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_m]Anatole[/name_m]
[name_m]Emile[/name_m] [name_m]Isidore[/name_m]
[name_m]August[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]
[name_m]Marcel[/name_m], [name_m]Caspar[/name_m], [name_m]Emile[/name_m], [name_m]August[/name_m]
[name_m]Jesse[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]
[name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Cecil[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_m]Flynn[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivo[/name_m] [name_m]Torin[/name_m]

[name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] [name_m]Isidore[/name_m] - [name_m]Golden[/name_m] river gift of the [name_f]Goddess[/name_f] My maternal family’s surname means yellow and is the name of a river. [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] means golden so it honors that side of the family. [name_m]Isidore[/name_m] means gift of the goddess
[name_m]The[/name_m] next three reflects the travels and hardships the family faced on the seas and islands when fleeing their homeland:
[name_m]Percival[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] - Traveling the valley to liberate the family and mankind
[name_m]Rainier[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] - *Wise warrior rising above the turbulent seas *
[name_m]Wendell[/name_m] [name_m]Valerian[/name_m] - Wishing strength and good health during the travels
Possible corresponding chinese and Vietnamese names
I’m not super fluent so if any of this isn’t completely accurate, lmk.
峥沧 (Zhēngcāng) — “Overcoming the Roaring Seas”
Source: Derived from idioms describing soaring mountain peaks (峥) rising above vast, turbulent oceans (沧海).
[name_m]The[/name_m] Meaning: It represents a person of elite talent and unyielding strength who stands tall and immovable, no matter how chaotic or rough life’s oceans get
^This seems to correspond with [name_m]Rainier[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] pretty well.
致远 (Zhìyuǎn) — “Foresight and Endurance” Source: From the famous philosophical motto by Zhuge [name_m]Liang[/name_m] (China’s historical symbol of strategy and wisdom): “Without tranquility, one cannot manifest their will; without focus, one cannot achieve great distance (致远).”
[name_m]The[/name_m] Meaning: It means having the long-term wisdom to look past current obstacles and the endurance to walk a long, successful path.
跃骏 (Yuèjùn) — “The Galloping Steed” From the [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Line[/name_f] in [name_f]Mulan[/name_f]: “She buys a fine steed in the East… wishing to ride a swift mount to return home” (东市买骏马 / 愿驰千里足).
[name_m]The[/name_m] Meaning: 跃 (Yuè) means to leap forward or surge ahead. 骏 (Jùn) means an elite, high-end stallion (it also honors part of my grandfather’s name 俊). It represents proactive momentum—a person who leaps over barriers with great speed and intelligence to rebuild and move the family forward.
Hán-Việt: Nhảy Tuấn (Usually adjusted to [name_m]Vinh[/name_m] Tuấn or [name_m]Phi[/name_m] Tuấn for a smoother Vietnamese flow).
朔风 (Shuòfēng) — “The [name_m]Northern[/name_m] Wind of Fortitude” From the [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Line[/name_f]: “The northern gusts carry the rattle of army pots” (朔气传金柝).
[name_m]The[/name_m] Meaning: 朔 (Shuò) means the north or the beginning of a new moon cycle. 风 (Fēng) is the wind. While the northern wind is cold and harsh, “Shuofeng” in literature represents a person of unshakable, stoic character. For a boy who remains strong and steady against life’s bitterest winds.
Hán-Việt: Sóc [name_m]Phong[/name_m]
All of these are so gorgeous!

Always changing my mind but today I’ll go with:
[name_m]Reid[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] - [name_m]Reid[/name_m] is a name I’ve loved for a while now. I love the short, sharp, smart sound of it, but somehow it still feels quite soft to me. I also really like the meaning of “red/red-haired”, especially because I’m a redhead myself, so there’s something cute about the possibility of passing that little connection on to a redheaded [name_m]Reid[/name_m]. [name_m]Reid[/name_m] was also the name of my school house in high school, although I only remembered that after I had already started loving the name! [name_m]Otto[/name_m] is the first half of my surname, so if my future husband and I eventually share his surname, I like the idea of carrying a little piece of mine on through my children’s middle names.
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Lee[/name_m] - [name_m]Silas[/name_m] is a newer love for me, but it has really grown on me. I love that it feels gentle and slightly old-fashioned without being fussy, and I think it has a really handsome, understated quality. [name_m]Lee[/name_m] is my grandmother’s first name, which makes this one particularly sentimental for me.
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] - [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] is one of those names that just feels warm and sweet to me. I like that it’s vintage without feeling overly formal, and I can picture it equally well on a little boy and a grown man. [name_m]Graham[/name_m] (PN grey-ham) is my middle name as well as my father’s surname, so it has a lovely family connection.
[name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] [name_m]Jay[/name_m]- [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] is probably the most questionable one for me in terms of actually using it, but I have such a soft spot for it. I love its old-fashioned, slightly bookish charm, and of course there’s the sweet Charlotte’s [name_m]Web[/name_m] association. I also like that it feels a little quirky without being completely out there. [name_m]The[/name_m] one thing that makes me hesitate is that [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] was also the name of a problematic YouTuber I used to watch, so unfortunately that association is there for me now (I obviously don’t watch him anymore!). I’m not sure whether that would eventually be enough to put me off using it, but for now I still really love the name itself. [name_m]Jay[/name_m] is my dad’s name (his name is [name_m]Jay[/name_m] Jay), so this would be a little nod to him, and I also have a soft spot for bluejays, which gives the middle name an extra little association that I love.
