[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Hildegard[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] I love the sound of. It’s quaint and sweet. [name_f]Hildegard[/name_f] means comrade in arms (at least according to Nameberry) and that’s cool as heck.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Greta[/name_f] is strong and a little clunky which I love. It means pearl, which is my mother’s birth stone, and it’s related to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] which is a family name. [name_f]Greta[/name_f] Thunberg also happens to be a great namesake. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is a tree that feels representative of the US southeast, where I grew up.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Ephemera[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I love the meaning of [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] (compassionate friend), and it feels strong and complete for a one syllable name. [name_f]Ephemera[/name_f] reminds me of ephemeral pools.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is just a fun name. I like its meaning (she who brings happiness) and it brings to mind [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] illustrations. [name_f]Ann[/name_f] was my childhood dog’s name [name_f][/name_f]- I’ve moved away from wanting to use honor/family names generally, but my dog’s name feels like it kind of encapsulates all the best parts of my family so I’d love to use it.
