A quartet of girls šŸŽ¶

Updating my quartet of girls!

Ingrid Elena Josephine - ā€œJehovah increases the fair, shining lightā€

This one is just my forever favorite name, like, ever! I fell in love with Ingrid after playing Criminal Case. She has such a melodious quality for me. Elena means shining light - she is the light of my life, changing it for the better. Josephine is a name that I adore, and an everyday reminder that blessings might appear and increase when you least expected. She is a strong, witty, and grounded fair girl with the most gorgeous blue eyes.

Cecilia Ruby Philomena - ā€œblind lover of strength and rubyā€

Another gaming franchise, another top 3 name for me! My first encounter with Cecilia was through the Papa’s Gameria series - she made her debut in the first time management game! Though her name might mean ā€œblindā€, I see this name in a totally different perspective. Ruby is my birthstone, and red is one of my favorite colours, so she is a direct honor for myself. Philomena is after Princess Celestia’s pet phoenix in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, appearing in season 1, episode 22 - I recommend you to watch it! I imagine a brunette who hates losing, but knows how to recover afterwards, holding onto hope even in bad times.

Cordelia Honey Thalassa - ā€œheart and daughter of the sea of honeyā€

Her heart is full of sea, yet she is as sweet as honey. Cordelia was one of the names I discovered pre-Nameberry. I used it as one of my twins’ names in the game Village Life (I miss that game so much!) - Ophelia and Cordelia. The ever-sweet Honey is one I thought would flow well with Cordelia. Thalassa is the Greek word for ā€œseaā€, and the song ā€œAh THALASSAā€ by Marina Satti (whose name means ā€œof the seaā€) made me fall in love with her even more!

Zelda Beatrix Wednesday - ā€œgray fighting maid who brings happiness on Woden’s dayā€

Another pre-Nameberry discovery, yet one Nameberry made me appreciate it more, Zelda reminds me of the main protagonist of the gaming franchise of the same name. I want her to know that the true strength lies in her, and only when she stays true to herself will it show as bright as the sun. Beatrix brings me happiness, just as her meaning indicates, every time I see her. The best association I can think of is Beatrix Hughes from one of @GoldenNebula88’s NTB games, whose middle name I equally love (courtesy of @BeccaRhubarb). Wednesday, as a baby name, was brought to my attention through The Addams Family, but I associate it with my favorite professor in university, who was born on a Wednesday.

:cherry_blossom:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] :cherry_blossom:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- We’re all avid golf fans in our family, and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is the name of hole #5[name_f][/name_f] at [name_f]Augusta[/name_f], where the Masters are played every [name_f]April[/name_f]. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] was also the name of a baby sister of the FMC in a book series I loved as a preteen (named after the [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] trees that grew near their house in [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], GA). I also love the nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] as an option.

[name_f][/name_f]

:dove:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] :dove:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- another golf/nature dual purpose name for us [name_f][/name_f] I love the idea of a little girl named [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. It feels so vintage and sweet, yet fresh at the same time.

[name_f][/name_f]

:honey_pot:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Honey[/name_f] :honey_pot:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- this has been a favourite of mine for years. S/O and I both grew up as big fans of [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], and Miss [name_f]Honey[/name_f] was the reason I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up (I’m not, but I still work in the education system!). It was also the name of a wonderful lady who was good friends with my nana when I was growing up.

[name_f][/name_f]

:bouquet:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] :bouquet:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is another long time favourite of mine. It feels so unexpected, yet fun. There was a show I loved when I was little with a character named [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] on it, and then Downton [name_f]Abbey[/name_f] reintroduced me to the name as an adult. I love the idea of a floral, nature themed name to honor my grandmother too, because growing up, she had the most stunning garden landscapes. [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is also one of the birth flowers for [name_f]October[/name_f], I believe, which is my birth month

[name_f][/name_f]:hyacinth:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] ā€œMaggieā€ [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] after my grandmother, she didn’t go by [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] but that is my husbands and my favorite nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is a favorite flower of my mother’s and grandmother’s and is the song my husband and I had our first dance to at our wedding. [name_m]The[/name_m] meaning of these two names is just chef’s kiss

All the Katherines (any spelling variation) I’ve ever met have been truly lovely people. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is just so pretty and girly while also not being overly long

All of these are so sweet, but I am especially rooting for [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]!

ferelith maret fortuna[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- ā€œsovereign pearl of fortuneā€

I’m speechless! This set of girls is like fairies playing hide and seek at night, tiptoeing around the trees and blending seamlessly into the night. With just a small shimmer in the wings. Did I just see a touch of magic? :evergreen_tree::wing::milky_way:

•[name_f]Adley[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]-Adley has been my number one name for a girl for a long long time. Since the moment I first heard it in a random movie I just loved it. It was actually the name of a male character but I prefer it on a girl. [name_m]Not[/name_m] sure how it was spelled in the movie but I prefer this simplified spelling. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] because I’m a big fan of classic middle names. That’s always been my style to have a bit of a unique first name and classic middle. [name_m]Just[/name_m] think it sounds beautiful.

•[name_f]Romy[/name_f] [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]-This is totally from [name_f]Romy[/name_f] & Michelle’s High School Reunion movie. That’s where I first heard the name. Again it’s spunky and different, but I think it’s really cute. It would be my second choice if I had a second girl. [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] was my great grandmother’s middle name. I just think it sounds very elegant.

•[name_f]Peyton[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]-Honestly a third and fourth name is a little hard for me. I feel like I would not have more than two children, but hey, anything is possible. I’m a fan of unisex first names and [name_f]Peyton[/name_f] has always been a longtime favorite of mine. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is classic and timeless, I always admired it. I would just be more likely to use [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] first.

•[name_f]Kodie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]-I always liked the sound of the name [name_m]Cody[/name_m], but would never use it on a boy for its popularity. I think spelled this way it makes it more girly, yet still sounding quite neutral. I love it. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] I’m more unsure about. It’s classic and nice, it just only grabs me because I like the idea of the nickname KJ. And I can’t really think of another J name that really flows well with [name_f]Kodie[/name_f], but also balances with the previous sister [name_f]Peyton[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
