Baby Berries due April-June 2022

19 weeks.
Sore ab muscles at the end of every day.
Starting to be able to express colostrum. I luckily had a very easy time with breastfeeding my first and did so for 4 years so I guess not surprising.

Nausea/vomiting a little better and less frequent episodes but I won’t count on that lasting as I had many “relapses” during my 1st pregnancy.

Feeling a bit of fluttery movement here and there but not frequent or very strong yet.

Top 2 name contenders continue to be [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] and [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m]. Middle name options [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_u]Valiant[/name_u], [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u], and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], but still making lists. Feeling very meh about naming right now.

How is everyone else doing?

19weeks, 5 days today.
[name_m]Can[/name_m] feel very definite, strong baby movements but nowhere near as regular as my daughter at this stage. She was a little savage bubba that I felt continuously from 10-11 weeks despite being my first baby and she’s never slowed down since! Walked at 9 months and now at a year is climbing and running all over the place all day!

Nausea has taken a back seat now thank goodness but I got a severe bout of food sickness over the weekend so really hoping that hasn’t affected baby in any way.

So I’m 18weeks6days! Almost half way through, don’t know where the time has gone.

I got to meet my Ob on [name_m]Friday[/name_m], it left a lot to be desired if I am being honest. He was a middle aged white bloke who seemed like he just wanted me out of his office and was so rude, he basically said that I should have a c-section because a)it’s twins and b( because of my weight (I’m 5ft7 and a UK size 14/16 which is the average for a British woman fyi). The midwife I met week or so before was so reassuring and lovely and told me that if I wanted to have a vaginal birth they would do everything to support me in that aim but this doctor seemed like he’s never even read my file before hand. He also said that he doesn’t plan on seeing me again unless I become more high risk or decide to have c-section, I told him that the midwife was happy for me to go ahead with my vaginal birth and he rolled his eyes. It was harder for me because my fiancé couldn’t come into the office with me and I just clamped up a little. I’ve got an appointment with my midwife in about two weeks so I’m going to talk to her and get this sorted because it’s giving me anxiety which I do not need.

Sorry for my little rant, I’m still fuming about the way I was treated but I know that complaining to my NHS board is all but futile as I did so previously and the doctor who I complained against found out and then rang me and gaslit me about it. Anyway, happy thoughts! No negativity is welcomed in my happy pregnancy bubble.

Other than all that, I’m feeling pretty good. I definitely have a bump and look pregnant and people are asking me when I’m due and I get weird looks when I say I’m not even 20 weeks because I apparently look a lot further along but then I explain that I’m having twins. I’ve not really felt any flutters yet so I’m excited for that to happen.

I hope everyone is doing well and is healthy and happy.

Sad news: I found out I had a missed miscarriage on [name_m]Thursday[/name_m] and had D&C today. So I’m going to step out of this thread. [name_m]Just[/name_m] one kind request: I appreciate any healing energy sent my way, but please don’t @ me. I don’t think I can bear to read the messages. I wish you all happy health pregnancies and babies.

I’ll be snuggling my girls tight and hoping for good news in the future…

[name_m]Just[/name_m] found out we’re having our third girl in a row! Oldest is a boy and I was really really hoping for a little brother…but alas! Big sisters are [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. I’m thinking [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] for this one, it’s dropping in popularity so hopefully she wouldn’t be one of 5 in her class.

Our thread is so quiet!

I regularly check and follow the updates but don’t always login to reply.

I had my ultrasound [name_m]Friday[/name_m]. What they saw was “normal” but I need to return to see the heart better. It’s definitely not as fun being all alone. I forgot how long the 18-20 takes to complete.

Covid is surging with the Omicron variant after being in such an improved situation and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel… now it’s just dark. I don’t know if anyone will be able to come to the hospital when we have the baby. When we announced I thought my children would be able to but it isn’t looking good now. I have never been without them and can’t imagine sharing the news of the baby with them online.

Question? Is anyone getting their booster? If so when, which one, what are your thoughts?

We just had our anatomy scan today as well. All looking good and baby measuring exactly on dates.

I’m holding off on the vaccine till 24 weeks. I wasn’t able to have it before I got pregnant as the roll out started very late here- otherwise that would have been my preferred choice. I know they say it’s safe to have in early pregnancy but I have a raft of allergies that makes me nervous to risk taking anything that may cause a reaction before baby reaches viability and immediate delivery is an option if it’s needed :weary: Anecdotally I know several women that have had miscarriages post vaccination following less extreme side affects such as high fever etc so that makes me more nervous even though Drs can’t tell them for sure whether it was vax related or just coincidence! [name_u]Will[/name_u] have the Pfizer one- we have the option of Pfizer and AstraZeneca here. Definitely not keen to risk COVId with no vaccine in third trimester though so will be getting my doses at about 24/25 and 27/28weeks all being well.

Yes, I got mine in [name_u]September[/name_u]. Luckily I work in a hospital so my first 2 doses were last [name_u]January[/name_u]. Our only option at the time was Pfizer so that’s the one I got. I didn’t have any major reactions to the first 2 doses so I felt comfortable getting a booster in early pregnancy. I’ve read your baby may have antibodies from the mother up to a year postpartum, so that eases my mind a bit going into another surge.

Hello all

[name_m]Just[/name_m] thought I’d pop in to share my news. I’m expecting (my 6th pregnancy/3rd birth, God willing!) I’ve had a pattern of 1st trimester miscarriage followed by a “rainbow baby.” So if this one sticks around (we made it past the 1st trimester!) this will be my 3rd rainbow after the storm. It’s been harrowing at times but when I think about it all it does seem a bit poetic for me because I’ve always been drawn to color, painting, the rainbow (God’s majesty painted in the sky!), art…and I love a beautiful story with all of life’s tragedy and triumphs intertwined, believing that it all works out to my personal growth, shapes and strengthens my character and benefits me in the end.

I have 2 handsome boys and was hoping for 2 girls next (this was my personal dream before having children.)

I just got results back yesterday from a SneakPeek blood test. I surprised my husband and family with the news (and my sister baked cookies) last night. According to the results it’s a girl!!! I was so very excited I had to tell my sister before I revealed it to everyone else or I’d burst!

The due date is [name_u]June[/name_u] 12. [name_f]My[/name_f] last miscarriage was in [name_u]June[/name_u].

I hope everyone has a lovely [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] if you celebrate or if you don’t celebrate then I hope you had a nice holiday.

The babies have been well and truly spoilt by family and friends and I’m so thankful to all the amazing people in our lives who have thoughtfully provided for our babies. [name_f]My[/name_f] in-laws to be have been very kind and bought us a very good pram so that is a weight of our minds in terms of cost because twin peaks are so expensive! [name_f]My[/name_f] fiancé’s grandmother has crocheted the sweetest little cardigans and what not for the twins and I spent a few minutes sobbing over them on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] morning because they are so sweet. I cried multiple times on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], more so than usual, and have been a blubbering mess most of the day which I am putting down to pregnancy hormones. Otherwise, we had a pretty relaxed [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], my fiancé is chef and wasn’t working on the day so I got what is probably the best [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] dinner I’ve ever had and we just relaxed and had a lovely time and talked about how different next [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] will be with 7/8 month olds (depending on when they are born). Hopefully next [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] will be more normal for everyone, we spent it just me and my fiancé as my mum was working and what with restrictions in [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] and how many of his family and mine couldn’t come together for one reason or another but we had a lovely meal when my mum came home and we have lots of leftovers which is one of the best parts of [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] dinner.

I got my booster two weeks ago, I got Pfizer again and I had the same for my first two jabs. I felt a little off with it yet again but all seems okay now and I feel very thankful to the NHS for providing the service. I would much rather feel a little off and have a sore arm than be sick with Covid.

I will be getting my 20 week scan in a few days and I can’t wait to see the babies again. A perfect late [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] gift! [name_f]My[/name_f] fiancé won’t able to come this time which is a shame.

I’m feeling really good, apart from my blubbering cries occasionally, I just feel so content and I’m trying to just appreciate my pregnancy and all the wonderful people in my life.

You’re so right, it really did seem like things were looking up! This new variant came on so quickly. Hoping that it calms down very quickly too!

I originally had the J&J vaccine, and for the booster I got in November, my doctor said it might be best to stick to the same brand, so I got a J&J booster. That was before the new data came out about it, so I did feel a little scared afterward but now I feel great and I’m so glad I’m boosted. For the next booster in 2022, I’ll get Pfizer.

[From what I read previously in terms of blood clots, the chances of getting a blood clot from the J&J is about 1/100,000. Which is actually very low compared to the chances of getting a blood clot just by being a pregnant human, which is 1-2/1000.] Lol sorry for the stats! It just helps keep things in perspective for me, and I do feel like I’m doing whatever I can to keep this baby safe.

We live in some wild times!

[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] @ladyofthetower

I am getting my booster tomorrow, Pfizer for the 3rd time. [name_f]My[/name_f] OB strongly recommended it as do all the medical and pregnancy experts. I don’t like taking anything while pregnant but with the new variant running rampant the risks of getting it while pregnant are too serious to ignore. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] everyone is staying safe. It looks like I’ll have a bunch of little ones doing online school again starting [name_f]Monday[/name_f].

Follow-up ultrasound of the heart seems to be fine. I haven’t heard to the contrary. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] they were able to get the angles required on the second visit.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I hope you all are doing well. I thought I’d pop in and give and update since its been awhile. I’m 25 weeks pregnant today. I’ve been feeling baby girl move around since about 21 weeks but the kicks and movement have felt much stronger in the last week or so. [name_f]My[/name_f] son and husband actually could even feel the movement through my belly. Its crazy how different each pregnancy can be. With my son he always moved around when I laid down for bed each night like clock work. This baby is totally different. She seems to have no certain time of day that she’s active. Some days she active all day and others I hardly feel her. I know I’m really not far enough yet to do accurate kick counts so I try not to wig myself out and try to just remember every baby is different.

[name_f]My[/name_f] last visit to MFM in [name_u]November[/name_u] I had an EKG that showed again possible left atrial abnormality. MFM ordered me to get an ECHO. The original report of the ECHO the tech had stated that my right ventricle of my heart was mildly enlarged (which was weird since the EKGs all showed left side abnormalities). [name_f]My[/name_f] doctor called me and stated that left ventricle enlargement is usually and indicator of on going hypertension so she was happy my images showed that wasn’t the case. The right ventricle being enlarged is sometimes and indicator of possible sleep apnea but all other measurements of the heart that would usually verify this were deemed within normal limits. [name_f]My[/name_f] doctor stated she was going to consult a cardiologist who specialized in maternal medicine to see about next steps. Well the cardiologist told my doctors that she herself looked over all my images from the ECHO and she determined that the original tech was exaggerate in his readings and she determined that my right ventricle was normal. So now I’m fine and need no further follow up. What a crazy ride that all was. I go back to MFM tomorrow for a ultrasound so I’m excited to see baby girl.

In regards to getting boosted, I just got my moderna booster last [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] and had no reactions what so ever. I’m glad I got it since so many people around me are getting COVID again.

[name_f]My[/name_f] 20 week/anomaly scan went well, I had to keep on drinking more water and it took a while to get clear views of both the babies but I had an extra long appointment booked because they thought this might happen. Both babies look healthy and there were no abnormalities. Also, I absolutely love my midwife who is amazing and so kind even when I had to keep going to the toilet and then drinking more water to compensate. I was a blubbering mess and was so happy and overwhelmed at seeing my babies.

In other news I have officially bought my first pair of maternity jeans and oh my goodness! I had been wearing a size bigger pair of leggings or jeans but the maternity jeans are a lifesaver and I can’t believe that I didn’t start wearing them sooner. The bump is definitely pronounced now and the extra support is needed.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you all had a lovely [name_u]New[/name_u] Years, we had a small Hogmanay dinner at my in-laws-to-be with just my fiancé, me, his parents, and my mum and it was very low key and we were back home before 10 and asleep way before the bells rang in 2022, I’m just not one for late nights and I don’t know why [name_u]December[/name_u] 31st would be any different to be honest.

How is everyone doing? I’m 27 weeks today and I’m going to the doctor here shortly for my 3D/4D ultrasound! Hoping I get some clear images of baby girl! I did my 1 hour glucose test last week and passed so that’s awesome! Its hard to believe in less than 2 and a half months I’ll have a little baby in my arms.

Hope everyone else is doing well and babies are growing and healthy! Please update, our thread has been so quiet lately but I know life is crazy for everyone! <3

Good to hear you passed your GT

I’ve just been chugging along. 24w2d now. The heartburn has well and truly come to stay. Thought I’d got over the nausea but then that came back early this morning and stayed all day 🥲 The headaches really have gone though so for that I’m thankful!!

Starting to find bending down is getting tricky with a very solid baby in the way  Makes picking up my 13month old a tad difficult on occasion but I guess I’ve got the next 15 weeks to perfect the skill :joy:

Well…I have Covid so that sucks. It’s very very mild luckily I’m just scared I gave it to my 7yo. We’ll see.

Nausea and vomiting are finally improving somewhat, and I’m still kind of lost on name ideas, hoping at this point it magically appears to me in a dream, lol

Urgh as if you needed COVId right now!
[name_f]Glad[/name_f] the nausea and vomiting have eased up for you. Mine seems to have disappeared as well- the nausea just pops up to say hello every now and again.

I’ve finally booked my first COVId vaccine for [name_m]Saturday[/name_m] so :crossed_fingers:t3: that goes okay and I don’t have any major reactions. Quite nervous because I react to a lot of things (stings, foods, severe hay fever etc) and never go anywhere without my Epipen.
Also seem to have got my first ever dose of thrush  Guess I was just lucky to get away with never having it until now!

I’m so sorry to hear you have COVID! I’m glad you’re on the mend and I’m hoping your 7 year old stay covid free! I had covid [name_u]November[/name_u] 2020 and my at the time 4 year old was sleeping in bed with me the night before I was diagnosed and also quarantined after that. He and my husband both didn’t get covid so I hope the same for your kiddo!

Names are so tough. I think I’m pretty much set on [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] for my little girl but I keep having second thoughts too.
